I really wanted to say they arrived "just in the nick of time." It would have been dramatic. It would have been heroic.

But looking at the scene, neither the people on the ground nor the thousands watching the stream could bring themselves to say it.

Under the moonlight, Daisy and Maverick stood flanking Darius III like two guardian statues.

If that was all, it would be fine.

But they were still naked.

Especially Maverick. He was striking a pose that could only be described as "Sassy JoJo Character"—hips cocked, one hand behind his head, chest puffed out. It was as if his inner diva had finally awakened after years of dormancy.

The viewers felt physical pain in their eyes. A certain song about "Auntie Ya Ya" started playing in everyone's head simultaneously.

Even Lu Bu, watching this through his mask, felt a wave of profound disgust.

It's bad enough my Master is a weirdo, Lu Bu thought, gripping his halberd. But now I have to fight these perverts? Is this a Holy Grail War or a nudist colony simulator?

But the awkward silence needed to be broken.

The Professor, who had been treating the background like a safe space up until now, saw the towering figure of the Persian King. Tears welled up in his eyes.

"Berserker!!!" The Professor sobbed, running forward with open arms.

"ROAR!!!"

Hearing his Master's voice, the zombie-like Darius III suddenly looked surprisingly wholesome. He let out a joyful roar, took a massive stride off the debris, and practically tackled The Professor into a hug.

Man and Monster wept with joy.

Maverick, watching from the side while still posing, wiped a tear from his eye. "Beautiful. That's the bond we strive for."

[Chat]: [HistoryBuff]: Look at that bromance.

[MemeLord]: I didn't expect this stream to turn into a soap opera.

[FashionPolice]: Maverick, please. Put your legs together. You're traumatizing me.

[NTR]: No! That's my bull!

[Tactician]: Okay, jokes aside. Isn't Lu Bu screwed? It's a 4v1 now.

[DynastyFan]: LMAO. You clearly don't know Lu Bu. "Three Heroes Fight Lu Bu" is a classic. It took three legends just to draw with him. These guys? My son Fengxian is going to eat them alive.

[Hungry]: Did someone say eat?

[Admin]: Stop talking about eating people!

The chat surged, and Lu Bu found himself facing the biggest threat of the night.

Before Daisy could even shout a command, Elizabeth—who was still salty about being tossed aside earlier—launched a surprise attack.

"Take this! Dragon God Dive!"

She dropped from the sky like a pink missile, her twin spears aimed directly at the back of Lu Bu's neck.

At the same time, Nero burst from the ruins, wreathed in fire. "How dare you kick me! Imperial Privilege!"

She slashed horizontally, bringing a wall of flame with her.

Lu Bu didn't panic. He looked bored.

He tilted his head slightly, letting Elizabeth's spears whiz past his ear. Then, with lightning speed, he reached up and grabbed the shaft of her spear.

His muscles bulged, ripping through the fabric of his suit.

"Get... off... me!" Elizabeth shrieked.

But she was just a toy in his hands. Lu Bu didn't let go. instead, he used her momentum to swing her around like a human flail.

WHAM!

He slammed Elizabeth—using her own spear as the handle—directly into a cluster of mechanical soldiers. She bounced off the metal bodies like a pinball.

"Berserker!" Nero screamed, her eyes widening.

She accelerated, her sword glowing white-hot. But she was too slow.

Lu Bu, having just yeeted a Dragon Idol into a robot army, used the rotational momentum to bring his halberd crashing down on Nero.

CLANG!

Nero raised her Aestus Estus to block.

The impact was immediate. The asphalt beneath Nero's feet shattered like a spiderweb, turning into a crater instantly. Dust and debris exploded outward.

Nero's knees buckled. Blood sprayed from the webbing of her thumb as the shockwave traveled up her arms.

"Oh?" Lu Bu looked down at her, impressed. "You actually blocked 40% of my strength. Not bad. I guess I should put a little effort in."

"Are... are you joking?" Nero gritted her teeth, her arms trembling violently. "That was only 40%? I can't... feel my hands..."

"Grin and bear it," Lu Bu sneered, raising the halberd again. "Next is full power."

"AHHHH!"

A high-pitched scream cut through the air.

Dragon's Breath (Rank E).

Elizabeth, pulling herself out of the pile of scrap metal, unleashed her trump card.

Now, Elizabeth is technically an "Innocent Monster." At 14 years old, she hadn't committed the atrocities of her legend yet. So her dragon traits were weak—just a tail, horns, and claws. Her breath attack wasn't a stream of hellfire; it was mostly sound waves and a beam of concentrated mana.

Usually, it does pitiful damage.

But seeing her best friend about to get flattened into a pancake, Elizabeth didn't care about damage numbers. She just needed to buy time.

The sonic beam blasted toward Lu Bu, tearing up the ground.

Lu Bu didn't dodge.

He casually backhanded Nero with the shaft of his halberd, sending her rolling away, and then turned to face the beam.

SWISH.

He swung his halberd vertically.

He didn't block it. He cut it.

The mana beam was sliced cleanly in half, diverging to the left and right, blasting two massive holes in the buildings behind him. Lu Bu stood in the middle, untouched.

"Annoying," Lu Bu grunted.

But the distraction worked.

"ROAR!"

A massive shadow eclipsed the moonlight. Darius III, fully recovered and fueled by the power of friendship (and mana), charged into the fray.

His twin giant axes swept toward Lu Bu's waist, intending to scissor him in half.

For the first time, Lu Bu braced himself.

He slammed the butt of his halberd into the ground and angled the shaft to block.

BOOM!

The impact was heavy. Lu Bu didn't fly away, but he was pushed back. His boots carved two deep trenches in the concrete as he slid backward about fifty feet.

It was the first attack that had actually moved him.

Lu Bu stopped sliding. He looked at the smoking trenches in front of him, then at the giant Persian King.

"Heh."

Lu Bu shifted his grip. He moved his hands apart, holding the halberd horizontally like a staff.

"Now we're talking."

He pushed back.

Darius III roared, straining every muscle in his undead body, crossing his axes to hold the line.

The air between them distorted from the sheer pressure. A sonic boom rippled out from their locked weapons.

But even a blind man could see the reality: Darius was shaking. Lu Bu was grinning.

The Flying General was winning the test of strength.

While the three Heroic Spirits were locked in a desperate struggle against the raid boss...

Edison, Wayne, and The Professor were quietly creeping up behind the posing Maverick and Daisy.

Like rats approaching a piece of cheese.
