The two delinquents were watching blankly the men in black and the minister eating eagerly the Toasts au Caviar and the Duck ships served with white vine and various kinds of beer. Of course, what they got was hand made Coca-Cola, something that was not invented in the world of Dragon Ball.
Mai was sitting next to them, asking general questions. Contrary to the angry woman that yelled and rebuked the authoritative figures for intimidating and mishandling kids, she was very gentle while speaking with them. She asked about trivial things, as their favourite colours, what food they liked to eat, it was very far from what they were imagining on the way to this mansion. A strange fat man with a very hight pitched voice even served them seconds, and even cooked the young woman's favourite desert: an Ile Flotante.
But after the food, they all went to the office of the house owner, upstairs. Because of some reason he was unable to eat lunch with them, and indeed, after calculating the most optimal upgrade, Gero was delayed in the lab.
In the office, the four men in black and even the minister remained standing while the two teenagers were invited to take a sit. As soon as the siblings noticed Gero, they did not dare to believe their eyes, and maintained subconsciously a flabbergasted facial expression for a while. When Gero started to explain them why they were brought here, the situation was even less believable. It was like a science fiction one could see in the movies, with robots, super human warriors, mad scientists, alternative universe and time travel!
Months ago, Gero scammed the government with an AI generated video showing C17 and C18 destroying cities and the humanity, and in a world where science was akin to magic, Minister Shelf believed whatever the most notorious scientist and fighter said, not that the thousands of Zennis he received as gift helped him to accept the obvious, of course.
"So in another reality, an evil you abducted us, and transformed us into androids, and we destroyed the humanity?" Asked the astonished blonde and young woman.
"Ineed." Confirmed Gero.
"And because of a time traveler dude's actions, the butterfly effect made so you are not using science for evil, and the Gods would destroy the world if you don't turn us into androids?" Asked the equally flabbergasted young man.
"Exactly." Confirmed Gero again.
"And you offer to adopt us, and give us three hundred billion Zennis each as soon we reach adulthood? And nine hundred billion Zennis more if we accept the surgery to become androids afterwards atop of it?"
"Yes, this is not mandatory, you can refuse if you don't want to. And if it happens, your human functions will be maintained and remain functional, you won't age, and will become the strongest beings of the world." Confirmed Gero.
The two siblings looked at each other with wide eyes, then, uncannily in sync, looked at the same time on the contract before them, and rapidly, greed flashed in their eyes, they signed "Lapis" and "Lazuli".
"I believe the world is saved!" Exclaimed the minister. "The adoption documents are already processed and validated. We will take our leave now, I am sure you have a lot to say to each other."
As they opened the door to depart, they discovered the Uncle just outside of the door.
"Please accept it as token of friendship." Said C19 while distributing sport bags to the minister and the agents.
They opened slightly their bags to check what's inside, only to discover it was full of bills. Very pleased, they were accompanied back to their vehicle by this fat uncle who was now more pleasing to the eye than their own wives.
"You dropped out after mid-school right?" Asked Gero to the now two smiling siblings, bringing them back to Earth.
"Yes, they didn't leave us any choice though." Replied Lazuli, doing her best to look cool and unbowered. At that instant Gero truly believed it was worth paying what he paid to just witness this legendary pokerface.
"Alright, next week you will start your first year at West City High's scientific section, now go get Mai, she will show you around and you'll choose your rooms. We'll go celebrate together this evening. I need to return to my lab."
After Gero left, the two sibling remained sitting at the expensively furnished study, trying to process what just happened.
"Lapis, pinch me please." Asked Lazuli, but she didn't feel anything. "I am dreaming right? I don't feel anything..." Then she turned to her brother, only to see him pinching his right arm frenetically.
"It's no a dream Lazuli. It's not a dream!"
Then she pinched her cheek and it did hurt.
"It's not a dream... It's real!"
Then together, uncannily, they exclaimed: "Dr. Gero is my dad!" as they jumped up in sync from the sits.
"We are filthy rich!" Exclaimed Lazuli.
"No need to work in the factory!" Exclaimed Lapis.
"We are so filthy rich!" Cheered Lazuli.
"No need to steal cars anymore!" Cheered Lapis.
"We so fuckin made it! We are rich!" Squealed Lazuli.
"Oi, kids calme down!" Yelled the Uncle Cooky at them with his hight peached voice. "It's my Peru Peru Moon time, shuush! Go see Mai she's waiting!"
The two teenager's excitement was washed away by a tsunami of cold cringe, yes, some one heard them. Then trying their best to calm down and look cool, they went down for the house tour.
They visited the outside in a sport's car as it was massive. Lapis trembled with excitement when Mai allowed him to drive back the collector model, and after choosing their rooms, their new Mom abducted them for a shopping tour using the private helicopter. From rag to riches, the unbelievable happened to them! As for being transformed into androids? They didn't care at all at this moment, like anything bad would happen to them with the Dr. Gero?
Meanwhile under the ground in his laboratory, Gero and Night Dog were running different tests and simulations.
"That scum... he transformed them into androids when they were only fourteen..." Angrily whispered the scientist.
"AFFIRMATIVE. SKELETON SCANS COMPARISON: 2-3 YEARS > C17/C18 data.
AI INSTABILITY=UNSTABLE PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE.
REASON: HORMONAL IMBALANCE.
REASON:CHILD->ADULT DEVELOPMENT.

Sometimes one does not need to look far away in order to see the reason for failure, and this time the monstrosity of the original mad scientist was the cause of it. After failing multiple times to get stable human based androids using adults, Gero used young teenagers instead. And for the adult appearance? Completely synthetically made. However the alterations were so heavy that without really looking into details on a biological level, one would have never found out the truth. Nevertheless, Victor was not sure which time line's Gero's knowledge he had, he was doubting Bulma would miss this kind of information. Maybe the Gero he clashed with was from Future Trunk's timeline, which would explain the android's blood thirst and killing spree, as in the main time line the androids were quite the pacifists, hardly killing any one. They even spared that loser of Vegeta!
The evening, C19 and Gero finished preparing the party and welcomed back Logan, Laura, Leonel, Leah and Laurelie back home, who returned to welcome their new brother and sister into the Gero family. Lapis and Lazuli utterly drained after the shopping spree with Mai, were startled as every one jumped yelling "Suprise!" as they set foot in the living room. And so they feasted, danced, and sang for two days and three nights.
The following day, as Gero was drifting aimlessly in the giant swimming pool, a bottle of vodka in his hand, right next to the custom Capsule Corp. Jeep Laura drove in while totally wasted. After some time, he was finally spotted by his two new kids.
"Euh Dad... are you awake?" Tried Lazuli.
Yes, in two days they managed to get over the awkwardness and decided to follow the flow, and call Mai and Gero, Mom and Dad. They were surprised by how unhinged the whole family was, and somehow, they knew they found the right home this time. The whole situation from before was now like a funny anecdote in retrospective.
"Hmmmm..." Hmmmed Gero.
"You know... we saw you making electricity sparks and stuff in the last tournament..." Ventured Lapis.
"Ah? Oh... Gulp... Gulp... Gulp... Yeah!" Said Gero with a stupidly happy smile after downing the whole bottle in three Gulps.
"Can you teach us?" Asked the two siblings, uncannily at the same time.
"Oh? Right..." Said Gero, he finally realised he was the Arnold Schwarzenegger like action hero now that he won two tournaments. "I'll call Daddy... euh your grandpa... just a second..." He said while continuing drifting.
"Dad you sure all is ok?" Finally asked Lapis after a while.
"Lapis, do you see that cooler bag over there?" Pointed Gero in the direction opposite to where it was.
"Got it!"
"Throw it to me, I'm a bit thirsty... it's a hot day..."
"Euh alright?" Said Lapis while throwing the bag precisely next to the Jeep.
Then he witnessed Gero getting a bottle of Jet and downing it in one go.
"Aaaaaah... that's life..." Exhaled the always floating Gero.
"And for grandpa?" Asked Lazuli.
"He'll be there in about half an hour..."
"But you didn't call any one? You sure you good?" Asked now the slightly worried Lapis.
"Yeah... don't worry, I'll explain you the Noosphere after you graduate high school..." Lazily replied Gero.
After looking at each other, the brother and sister pair just shrug their shoulders, and decided to sneakily get a beer while resting on the deckchairs. It wasn't like Gero didn't notice, but he believed everything was justified to get a moment of happiness before experiencing the cruel tutelage of his daddy... master. He was suffering with one hundred battle power, he didn't want to imagine the pain of some one who was a normal human being.
After moment Lazuli noticed something strange in the sky. Was it a plane? Was it a man? Yes... and he wore a pink dress like thing their dad was wearing during the two tournaments, with the character "KILL" on it.
The two siblings stared at the flying man with mouths ajar, as Tao Pai Pai said after arriving: "It's hot today, gimme a drink." And his wish was fulfilled, Gero granted him a bottle of plum wive, his master's favourite.
"Lapis, Lazuli, greet your grandpa. Dad, please try to no kill them..."
