Nexus followed a knight as he led him to a room he had been in before to go and choose his weapons.
Nex entered the room and without wasting his time he went straight to the gauntlets section and picked up the steel plated gauntlets.
He then went to the armor section and chose some light leather armor and a dagger too.
"Since I see you're done, follow me up to the stage."
Nex exited the room and followed the knight to the main arena.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! , Welcome to the second round of the trails of liberation."
"Today we have a single challenger who deems himself worthy of a chance at obtaining freedom."
And not to forget we have a special monster that's going to entertain us by fighting against the slave. This monster was caught by our chief general Gazar.
The monster lost sadly as it only managed to scratch him but have hope as this is the first of its kind.
"Now if you'll excuse me the KING would like to have a word with you all!"
"Now as everyone knows I don't like to beat around the bush , so let the battle commence!"
The KING'S words signaled for the knights to lower the gates.
Nex stood on the left side of the arenas cage as it went up and he started to walk into the arena , on his opposite side there was a monster that was a humanoid like wolf walking on its two feet and standing at 1.5 meters tall, it was the same height as Nexus.
The wolf had silver white like fur that was covered in blood, and with its blue ocean-like eyes with black covering the top of its head.
The wolf walked out with a demeanor that was saying I am couches of you.
The creature circled nex around while keeping its distance, it's like it was judging or sizing him up.
Nex kept looking at the wolf which was still continuing with its weird behavior.
The creature came to a stop after a while and it looked nex straight in the eyes.
Nexus was about to question himself about what this thing was doing before he saw himself move to avoid an attack but it was too late because the wolf had moved faster than Nexus could react and sent him back a few meters.
Nexus found himself crouching on one knee and holding his stomach with one of his hands.
"Sh...!"
"When did this bastard move!"
"I swear I was just looking at it a moment ago nex thought to himself before the wolf moved again.
"Woosh!
As it dashed towards Nexus's location .
"Sh...!"
Nex stood up in a rushed manner and had little time to prepare himself, the wolf aimed its paws at nexus's face but he managed to block it even though it was a poor block that pushed him back a little, he had blocked its attack.
"Argh!"
"This thing does really pack a punch!"As nex thought to himself.
Nexus stood up and prepared for the wolf to attack again but for some reason it didn't , it did redid its previous actions again circling Nexus again.
Nex focused and studied the wolf's action, he cleared his mind and focused on the fight.
The wolf circled him for about two minutes before it burst forward to attack again.
Nex remained com and waited for it to come , he remembered what the old man had taught him before.

"Huff,huff!"
See kid you're just wasting your energy defending against my attacks if you can't even counter.
I get it you don't want to get hit but there is the point when you can't even attack.
I'll say this once so put it through your thick skull, defending isn't everything, yes you can defend but you can also attack too.
Attacking isn't about rushing at an opponent from the get go , it's about timing.

The wolf came in with its paw aimed at nexus's head , it was expecting to catch the human off guard again.
The creature believed in its speed and was sure it was going to kill this human with this attack.
The wolf's attack landed but it missed , which confused the wolf during that motion.
Nexus had waited for the right opportunity to step in unnoticed and raised up his left arm to make it look like he was about to block but at the moment the attack connected, nex deflected it and countered with his right to the temple.
He had maintained his stance and used the technique the old man had taught him.
The attack sent the wolf stumbling back a bit but nex didn't wait for the beast to regain its senses again and started attacking the creature with a sequence of combos mixed up with kicks that primarily aimed for the head and chest.
Nex didn't give the monster a chance at breathing as he forced it into a corner not stopping whether the creature was howling or the stands were screaming at them.
"Boom!
The creature dropped to the floor as it was beaten to the point where it looked like most of its upper body structure was rearranged.
"Huff, huff!
Nex looked at his gauntlet, wondering about what just happened.
"Did I really just win?,he murmured to himself"
"I mean I expected it to be a difficult match but before he could even continue, his body moved on its own again and this time it dodged the sneak attack at point blank range , his body was bent in a forward position after he dodged the attack.
Before he could even process what had just happened, another attack landed on the side of his stomach and he was sent crashing into the wall.
Somehow this creature moved so fast that even he didn't notice when battle instinct was still active.
"Doom!" , as the wall now had a figure of a person imprinted on them.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
"Boom!" , the creature continued pummeling on nex who was stuck between the wall and the wolf.
The pounding for a while before the wolf decided to pull nexus out and hold him by the face.
Nexus's body hung like it was crippled while the wolf was holding him by the face .
"Sh...!"
"Argh!"
This bastard, before he could even continue thinking to himself, his face was suddenly smashed through the wall and was dragged through it at top speed.
The creatures continued doing this until Nexus' face was mangled and bloodied to the point where he was unrecognizable.
The wolf stopped and took out nex who was half unconscious, and throw his body like a ragdoll a cross the coliseum battle field.
Nexus's body crashed and rolled across the battlefield with him barely clinging conscious.
