I sighed after spending a week of preparation for the Superfest and Epicfest, accumulating a ton of Cat Food and Rare tickets only to fucking get Fortune Teller Cat and Thief cat for 3rd time in a row.
I didn't even get a damn good Uber Rare, just a bunch of Baloney duplicates, ATLEAST GIVE ME CAN CAN CAT DUPLICATES AND RAMEN CAT, literally the only good duplicates i want.
I slumped to my bed after internally complaining about how shitty my life has been, parents sending me to an orphanage, and getting classified as an E-Ranked Hunter, what could get any worse than that? Getting Viking Cat after those other two.
I buried my head into my pillows, trying to sleep away my misery of Gacha rolls, then i flipped over as if remembering something.
"Wait a minute... I don't even know what my ability or unique magic is... Ever since i evaluated at Hunter's Association Awakening or something, after i got evaluated i immediately bee lined to my house to grinding Growing Strange and the Li'l Awakening Stages because of it being limited timed."
I contemplated whether i should try testing out now or later maybe i should do it later and grind SoL 3 to 4 Crowns... "No! I need to find out now!" I slapped myself, i almost fell into my own trap, if i did fell for it i may have been grinding EXP Colosseum and Growing Evil.
I focused into myself, i tried to find something that would feel sense of stream inside me, then nothing came into feel or sense.
How come i can't feel my magic or mana since i was evaluated as an E-Ranked Hunter for the love of God, don't tell me i forgot something the evaluators were saying right? RIGHT?
I quickly booted up my phone and searched through my gallery, trying to find the picture of the results i took a photo of, and there it was.
It does say i have mana, abundance amount of it but base on what evaluators found is that it's flickering between low to high amounts mana as if somethings siphoning it fast and regenerating it quickly, or maybe theres a defect in my mana so it looks like that since I've been seeing it a lot of Hunters like F to E rank having the most amounts of defects in Physiques and Mana.
I sighed, i stared outside, seeing the beautiful metropolis that is Seoul, very vibrant yet step just a few streets away and you'll find yourself in Dungeon that suddenly appeared out of nowhere then trapped and eaten by what lurks inside of it, forgotten by name, known by as a victim of said Dungeon appearance.
I took a breather, and decide that I'll go outside and buy me some dinner, like some Hot Dogs or even KFC.
I wore my shoes then hid my standard issued Hunter Knife and walked outside of my apartment with my wallet then started walking towards my local convenience store and upon entering it i feel the gush of coldness from the local convenience store and the ambience of people buying and eating inside of it.
I went straight to the Hot Dog area and went straight to stuffing the heated hot dogs into the same heated buns, after that i took out a few bottles of water then went straight to the cashier.
The Convenience store employee recognizes me as one of the people who constantly buys stuff here then brings up a small talk that i knew was coming.
"Totally didn't expect you'd be here, heh... The usual right?" Cashier Clerk smirked at routinely same items, Hot dogs and water.
"Yeah yeah, they're good enough to fill me up anyway, since i don't like cooking anyways." I snarked, wanting the interaction to die out.
"You should something outside of hotdogs in the store, like burgers or Kimbaps, much more cheaper than the ones you buy in bulk here." The Clerk offered some advice while also sales pitching up the stores ready to be eaten meals to me.
"Maybe another time, later." I grabbed my paper bagged food and while holding my water bottle then was about to walk outside before the Clerk called out:
"You forgot the change and receipt!" I face palmed myself mentally and awkwardly walked back to the counter and took it.
"Thank yo-"
I immediately felt entering something, like a portal to another world, then everything around me dimmed, people who were near me was also dragged inside of the Dungeon i assumed, many of these people were either civilians or F-Ranked Hunters.
A slow sense of panic started to creep into Hunters and civilians, and so did i.
I don't even have any experience in dungeon raiding, since all i did was working my 9-5 job before i explicablely Awakened on some random day, then continued working and playing Battle Cats, i guess it's the consequences of me not doing what i am supposed to do as a Hunter. But i didn't wanna get hurt or die to some dungeon monster, all i wanted was to play my damn game and not do the job that will kill me in some random dungeon that got wrongfully evaluated.
I sighed, knowing my eventually outcome, but i tried steeling myself, focusing before a inhumane shriek was heard as many of the few Hunter's sprung at the monster arriving, trying to slay it but to no avail as the monster was a Dog like humonoid that pinned down a Hunter and bit hard into him before ripping.
Many people screamed in terror as the monster slowly fought through the Hunter's while lowering the morale of the people to core of the earth.
I stared at the scene, trying to think of a way to live, a way to survive such unfortunate encounter, then a desperate idea, i could die trying this but, way better than dying like a hopeless lamb to the monster.
I channeled my focus, trying to ignore the sounds of flesh cut and torn as shrieks of people getting bitten and ripped was starting to near my area, i tried to conjure something out nowhere using magic then the distinct sound of a button being pressed, A Cat spawned, not just any Cat, it's a Battle Cat.
