Chapter 4 - Bhagwat Gita ch-3

later on and it is a different matter that a devotee of any kind should leave devotion and adopt devotion to Yoga and then he should be filled with devotion only through Yoga.

If one asks what is the system of those who practice karma yoga and then attain Sankhya, then one should understand this by dividing the Sachidanandaghan Paramatma into seven categories in the name of sacrifice.

(1) Complete renunciation of forbidden actions

Gauri, adultery, lying, hypocrisy, deceit, coercion, violence, inedible food and negligence, etc., not to do the forbidden nonch karmas with the mind, speech and body in any way - this is the first category of renunciation.

(2) Renunciation of desirable actions

The second category of sacrifice is the sacrifice, charity, austerity and worship performed for the purpose of attaining dear things like wife, son and wealth and for the relief of diseases and calamities.

If by chance one gets to perform any worldly or scriptural action which is selfish in nature, but not doing it causes pain to someone or creates any kind of obstacle in the tradition of Karma-worship, then giving up selfishness and doing it for the welfare of the people is not a selfish action.

(3) Complete renunciation of craving

To renounce the desire for honor, praise, prestige and whatever else is infinitely obtained according to the initiation, considering it as an obstacle to attaining the Lord. This is the third category of sacrifice.

(4) Renunciation of getting others to serve you for selfish reasons

To beg for money or services from anyone for one's own happiness and to accept the goods or services given without asking and to have the desire to fulfil one's selfish motives through anyone, etc., to give up all those feelings of getting services done from others for selfish reasons - this is the fourth category of renunciation.

If on such an occasion someone gets hurt or there is an obstacle in providing physical services or food etc. to the public, then on that occasion, out of selfishness, accepting the service only for the sake of love is not wrong because by not accepting the things of wife, son, servant etc., they may get hurt or there may be an obstacle in the service and food given by relatives and friends etc. and public decorum.

(5) Complete renunciation of laziness and desire for fruit in all duties

Devotion to God, worship of gods, service to parents and other teachers, sacrifice, charity, penance and according to the varnashrama, livelihood and body-related food and drink, etc., are all duties. Among them, the renunciation of laziness and all kinds of desires is the fifth category of renunciation.

(6) Complete renunciation of love and attachment to all things and people of the world

And friends, all relatives, wealth, honor, praise, reputation, wealth, houses, clothes, women, sons, etc., all the objects of this world and the next, are transient and perishable Going: This is the sixth category of sacrifice. Absolutely of love and attachment in actions and in body

Having become detached from all material things, men who have attained the above mentioned sixth category of renunciation, develop exclusive love for the Lord of the world only. That is why they like to live in a secluded place and continuously worship God, meditate and contemplate the essence of the scriptures of pure love filled with the qualities, influence and mystery of God. They do not like to listen to, narrate and contemplate on the stories of worldly pleasures and living among humans, they do not like to spend even a moment of their precious time in jokes, luxury, carelessness, slander, sensual pleasures and useless talks and all their duties are performed only for the sake of God without attachment while meditating on the form and name of God.
