Chapter 43 - Eldoria Tales: The Lost Outpost

Set twenty years after the events of Volume 3 – in the far northern reaches of Eldoria, where the borders meet unknown lands.

Prologue: The Ancient Map

In the archives of the Crystal of Unity, Ren stood over a massive table, carefully unrolling an ancient map that had been discovered in a sealed chamber beneath the Eastern Wastes. At thirty years old, he was the Keeper of Balance, tasked with understanding and preserving Eldoria's magical heritage.

"The markings are unlike anything we've seen before," he said, tracing his finger over symbols that curved across lands beyond Eldoria's known borders. "According to the text, there was once an outpost here—built by the same civilization that created the Crystal of Unity. They called it 'The Beacon of the North.'"

His sister Yuki entered the room, her robes dusted with travel dirt. At thirty-two, she was the High Mediator of Eldoria, and she'd just returned from resolving a dispute between mountain clans.

"Another lost civilization?" she asked with a smile, moving to stand beside him. "You'd think we'd have found them all by now."

"Apparently not," Ren replied. "The text says the outpost was built to maintain balance not just in Eldoria, but in the lands beyond. But it was abandoned centuries ago—something about a 'great silence' that fell over the northern peoples."

He looked up at her, his eyes bright with curiosity. "The Crystal is calling to me, Yuki. It says the balance in the north is shifting. Whatever happened to the Beacon, its effects are being felt here now."

Yuki studied the map, her expression growing serious. "Then we need to investigate. But we can't go alone—these lands are uncharted, and we know nothing about the people who live there now."

"Which is exactly why we should go," Ren said. "Our ancestors built bridges with other races here in Eldoria. Maybe it's time we did the same beyond our borders."
