Jimmy was pissed off! He was worried, of course, but he was also quite angry over the fact of how organized the enemy seemed. It made him feel like a chump.
His people, his closest friends, guaranteed him that they killed every single one of the three-hundred or so people that attacked the grasslands the last time, including the Field Runners, which in this case would be the greatest source of information that the enemy could use.
The treacherous Field Runners would need to survive the battle, and run back to the west hills to tell the Chiefs of how the battle turned out. This would make sense if his people hadn't killed every single one of the Field Runners, but now, he began to think that his people were not as attentive as he had hoped them to be.
From the looks of it, at least one Field Runner had survived, and delivered the fantastic news to the west fields! The news being that Jimmy had been killed.
