The Safehouse was unusually quiet, but the tension was palpable.
Feriha and her little sister sat near the window, Eric close behind.
Ravihan stood at the entrance, scanning the shadows outside with sharp, calculating eyes. 👀
"We can't let Selene approach unnoticed," he said firmly.
Feriha nodded, her hands clenched, and the girl fidgeted with the blue ribbon in her hair.
Minutes later, subtle signs appeared,flickering lights outside, strange noises in the ventilation system.
Selene was testing them. Trying to see if the girl would slip, if they could be lured out.
"She wants to scare us… maybe force the girl to obey," Ravihan whispered.
"Stay calm. Don't show fear. Follow my lead." 🕵🏻
Feriha felt her heart race, but she trusted him completely.
Eric adjusted his stance, ready to act.
Suddenly, a faint shadow appeared near the Safehouse wall.
Selene's voice came through, soft but cutting:
"Little one… come to me. Remember who protects you?" 🎶
The girl froze, instinct and fear battling her memories.
Feriha stepped closer, holding her hand tightly.
"Don't look at her. Focus on me. She can't control you now." 🙅
Ravihan's plan kicked in.
"Eric, cover the rear. Feriha, guide her to the hidden exit."
He grabbed both of them, his experience leading the way, eyes scanning for traps.
Selene's shadow moved closer, a sharp grin flashing in the dim light.
The girl's lips trembled, but she held Ravihan's hand tightly, following his lead.
Feriha whispered words of encouragement, keeping her calm, steady. 😑
Through narrow corridors and hidden passages, Ravihan led them,always one step ahead of Selene's attempts.
Electric wires, traps, and decoy alarms set by Selene were avoided with precise timing.
The child, tiny but courageous, moved with determination, trusting the adults around her.
Finally, they reached the outer safe tunnel.
Ravihan glanced back once.
Selene's furious face appeared in the shadow, but she couldn't reach them.
"We're safe… for now," he said, guiding them into a secure part of the city where Selene had no reach.
Feriha hugged her sister tightly.
"You're okay now. She can't get you." 🙂
Eric smiled faintly, brushing hair from Feriha's forehead.
"Ravihan's strategy saved us. Every move was perfect." 👨
Ravihan nodded, eyes still scanning the horizon.
"This isn't over. But we've taken the first big step. Together, we'll protect them,and turn Selene's plans against her."
The girl looked up at Feriha, her eyes wide with trust and a spark of courage.
"Thank you," she whispered softly.
Feriha smiled, brushing her tears away.
"Always. Always together. Always safe." 🤝
