Chapter 32 - The First Meeting with Ei

Inazuma, Tenshukaku (Citadel).

"Clang!"

The sound startled the Raiden Shogun, who was meditating.

The Raiden Shogun rose and walked to the window, picking up a Jade Talisman.

"What is this?" She was puzzled. It seemed this thing had just been thrown in from outside.

Looking up, she saw no one.

Then, she looked down at the Jade Talisman in her hand. Suddenly, a faint white light emanated from it, and two lines of golden text appeared in the air.

"Do you want to see Raiden Makoto again? If so, come to the Grand Narukami Shrine."

Raiden Shogun was puzzled by this, and informed Ei within the Plane of Euthymia.

After a moment, Raiden Shogun transformed, her expression shifting from cold and emotionless to slightly angry, a bit dazed and serious.

"Who's playing games? Yae Miko?" Ei looked at the Jade Talisman in her hand, frowned, and after pondering for a moment, put the Jade Talisman away and walked out.

Two Kanjou Commission Enforcers were on guard at the door, and suddenly heard the sound of the door opening.

The two subconsciously looked over and saw Ei walking out.

"G… General?!" The two Kanjou Commission Enforcers hurriedly saluted, their hearts filled with tension.

"No need for formalities. I'm going out for a bit. You don't need to follow. If the Commission has any important matters, put them aside, I'll deal with them when I return."

Ei said, looking at the two.

"Yes, General." The two Kanjou Commission Enforcers responded hastily.

Ei immediately left the Tenshukaku, transforming into a bolt of lightning and disappearing from the spot.

"The General actually came out, that scared me to death." One of the Kanjou Commission Enforcers breathed a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, and the General seems a bit different today, her tone doesn't seem as cold as usual," said another Kanjou Commission Enforcer.

Grand Narukami Shrine.

Yun Han and Yae Miko stood under the Sacred Sakura Tree, talking.

"Miko, do you think she'll come? After all, it's been a long time since you've seen her," Yun Han looked at Yae Miko.

"Ara ara, don't worry, even though Ei is in that seclusion phase you mentioned, she cares about this even more because of it, even if there's only a sliver of hope. Look, isn't she here already?"

Yae Miko said with a smile.

As soon as she finished speaking, a flash of purple lightning streaked across the sky, and a familiar figure appeared before them.

Her long, dark purple hair was braided and hung down her back, the color becoming lighter towards the ends.

She had pale purple eyes, with a teardrop-shaped beauty mark at the corner of her right eye. She wore a Gentian Flower on her head, a black and gold shoulder armor on her left shoulder, and a purple kimono, the hem of which was shortened to just above her thighs.

The two sleeves were different; the left sleeve stopped at her arm, while the right sleeve reached down to her ankles. The kimono was secured with a red obi, and a purple waist cord held a decoration bearing the Tri-Archon Sigil, with two tassels, one gold and one purple, hanging down naturally. She wore black stockings and brown herringbone high heels.

Ei, Beelzebul, the Raiden Shogun!

Yun Han felt a sense of nostalgia upon seeing this figure appear, and a hint of joy flashed in his eyes. He had finally met her!

Before the transmigration, the character I liked most in Genshin Impact was, after finishing the Inazuma quest, well, it could be said that pity turned into love. Poor Ei, she lost her sister during the Khaenri'ah period, and upon her return, was forced to kill her friends one by one. This kind of pain directly led her into Seclusion/Isolation.

Later on, she became single-mindedly pursuing Eternity, firmly believing that only Eternity was closest to The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles.

Why get close to The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles? Yun Han's guess was that one was to seek revenge on The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, and the other was to believe that only by reaching that height of The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles could Inazuma truly be protected from harm.

"Long time no see, Ei." Yae Miko saw her appear, and a trace of reminiscence flashed in her eyes.

"Miko..." Ei's expression was initially somewhat complex, then became serious. "Miko, what's going on with this Jade Talisman? Give me an explanation."

She said, taking out the Jade Talisman.

"Hmmph, I didn't do it. Here, the person responsible is right here, let him explain it to you." Miko chuckled, gesturing towards Yun Han.

"Nice to meet you, Raiden Ei. I am Yun Han, the island master of Lichen Island." Yun Han smiled slightly, introducing himself.

Ei finally turned her gaze towards him.

"You are... There is a familiar feeling emanating from you. You are the one who fought with Morax at sea that day!" Ei suddenly remembered.

"With Morax?" Yae Miko was somewhat surprised; she had only felt someone fighting there that day, but hadn't seen who it was.

If that's the case, what Yun Han said might actually be achievable. Thinking of this, Yae Miko's gaze flickered towards Yun Han, carrying a hint of anticipation.

"Oh? You saw it? Then the other Gods of Various Nations should also know," Yun Han was a little surprised; he hadn't expected to be seen from such a distance.

Then, what about The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles?

Yun Han felt a little heavy-hearted at this thought.

Being able to defeat Zhongli doesn't necessarily mean he can defeat The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles; after all, she was the one who orchestrated the Archon War.

"So, what do you mean?" Ei raised the Jade Talisman in her hand.

"That? Of course, there's no problem." Yun Han raised an eyebrow. "But..."

"What's the problem?" Ei's mood suddenly fluctuated.

"Do you really just want to see her?" Yun Han said with a smile.

"Just say it, why beat around the bush?" Ei's expression was displeased.

"I can revive her, do you believe me?" Seeing her like this, Yun Han stopped teasing her and spoke directly.

"How?" Instead of answering, Ei asked a question.

"Well, I need to see the sword she left you before I can proceed." Yun Han said.

"Musou no Hitotachi?" Ei looked puzzled, and a flash of lightning sparked in her hand, summoning a long blade.

Yun Han was a bit disappointed to see this, as he missed the iconic scene. But then again, it wasn't a fight, so there was no need to go all out every time she pulled it out.

When Ei drew the blade, Yun Han's spiritual sense detected a faint soul, or rather, a remnant soul, slumbering within.

So that's how it is. Yun Han now understood why Raiden Makoto would eventually bid farewell in the game's storyline. Once the blade's power was fully activated, Raiden Makoto's soul would reach the end of its slumber and dissipate.

"What should I do?" Ei looked at Yun Han.

"Leave it to me." Yun Han took out a square, crystal-like treasure.

Soul-Nurturing Box: Can contain remnant souls, allowing them to rest and recover their Soul Power.

This treasure was personally crafted by Yun Han after his breakthrough to Golden Immortal. It was a success after using up most of the rare materials he had saved.

It was something Yun Han had intended to use when he was injured and asleep, but after his body and soul merged, it became unnecessary. It was perfect for this situation.

Yun Han slowly closed his eyes, concentrating and channeling the Immortal Energy and Soul Power within him.

With a thought, a mysterious and obscure technique manifested in his hands. This was a technique capable of guiding souls; it could extract the soul from an object and safely transfer it elsewhere.

Yun Han infused his Soul Power into the blade, establishing a connection with Raiden Makoto's residual soul to convey his desire to help Ei see her.

He carefully guided the residual soul, allowing it to gradually detach from the blade.

Raiden Makoto's residual soul seemed to sense Yun Han's kindness and power, slowly leaving the blade and moving towards the direction Yun Han indicated.

Under Yun Han's guidance, Raiden Makoto's residual soul finally left the blade and entered the Soul-Nurturing Box.

This Soul-Nurturing Box was a treasure specifically designed to nourish and protect souls. It contained rich Immortal Energy and Soul Power, which could help the residual soul recover and grow.

"Makoto..." Ei murmured, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes as she sensed the familiar aura.

"Her soul is too weak right now and needs to recover. I can proceed to the next step when she's ready," Yun Han said from the side.

"Thank you. But why are you helping me?" Ei thanked him first, then asked with confusion.

Yun Han smiled without speaking.

Yae Miko was also covering her mouth and giggling, leaving Ei completely bewildered, not knowing why they were laughing.
