Chapter 6 - Chapter 6. Gaurong

After school that afternoon, Wong made his way toward the villa community where he tutored, though he had already resolved to conclude his tutoring arrangement. On the lawn, the young girl wore an expression of mild surprise. "You don't want to continue?" she asked, furrowing her brow. "Is it because the pay is low?" "Not all," Wanie clarified. "With the college entrance examination approaching, I fear I won't have time to commit to tutoring, so it's best to end it early." To be candid, the remuneration offered to him by the young lady was already exceedingly generous. While other senior students at martial artsmies typically charged 100 per hour for tutoring, his rate was 150. Gao Yuron regarded Wong E for a prolonged moment before reluctantly conceding. If that is the case, then very well. Wong he felt a wave of relief wash over him upon hearing her agreement. Having spent considerable time together, he was acutely aware of Gao Yurongs somewhat stubborn temperament, and he feared her descent. Of course, her disagreement would be of little consequence. Yet having known each other for so long, it would be undesirable to sour their relationship. At that moment, Gao Yurong added, "To express my gratitude for your guidance over this duration, allow me to treat you to a meal." Wong E hastily replied, "There is no need for that." Gao Yurong said nothing in response, merely fixing her gaze upon him. After 3 seconds, Wong capitulated, exclaiming, "All right, then. Where shall we dine?" A faint smile crept across Gao Yurongs lips as she suggested, "Let's go my home. I shall prepare a meal for you to sample my culinary skills. Wongi regarded her with skepticism despite nearly a year having passed. He had never witnessed Gao Yurong in the kitchen. It could be that he had seldom visited her home, but he had never perceived her as the type to cook. Nevertheless, he refrained from voicing such thoughts. "Am I imposing too much? Perhaps we should dine out instead." "I can treat you," Wanie proposed. Although he was somewhat financially constrained, he could afford a meal, albeit not at a lavish establishment, which was beyond his means. Ziao Han had invited him twice to upscale venues, but after those occasions, he had opted out of further visits. Gao Yurong glared at him. Do you look down upon me, thinking I cannot cook? Of course not, he hastily retorted. Then follow me. Eventually, Wangi acquiesced and accompanied Gao Yurong to her residence. As she opened the door, a spacious, bright, and immaculate living room unfolded before him, one that seemed to surpass the size of his own home. In addition, there were two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom far exceeding the conditions of his own abode. A subtle, refreshing fragrance wafted through the air. Although Wong, he was Gao Yurongs tutor, he had never met her parents. He was aware that they were separated with her father residing in the capital city of Kyoto, while she and her mother lived in Jangan. It appeared that Gao Yurongs mother was quite busy as Wongi had never encountered her, and Gao Yurong seldom spoke of her parents in his presence. "Please make yourself comfortable. If you find yourself bored, there is a television and a laptop available for your amusement," Gao Yurong said as she casually entered the house, changing out of her shoes into cozy slippers, revealing her delicate feet as they patted against the floor. Wong had initially intended to assist Gao Yuron with the cooking, feeling somewhat awkward about being pampered. However, considering that being in the kitchen together might lead to greater awkwardness, he ultimately chose to remain silent. Gao Yurong then retreated to her bedroom to change. With Wong Yi's keen hearing, even from a distance and behind a door, he could distinctly hear the rustling of fabric, conjuring images in his mind of Gao Yurong changing her attire. He was aware of her appealing figure, and the thought proved to be somewhat provocative. As a healthy, vigorous young man, it was only natural for ripples of intrigue to arise within him. Yet Wong Yis resolve remained steadfast. He quickly regained his composure, dismissing such distractions, and instead opened a laptop resting on the living room table, searching for a film that piqued his interest. When Gao Yurong emerged from a room, she had transformed from her sporty outfit into casual home attire, her ponytail now cascading freely down her back, exuding a vibrant allure. Wongi glanced up momentarily, momentarily taken aback. Gao Yurong typically presented herself with an air of reserve and aloofness, and this was the first time he had witnessed her in such a manner. He quickly looked down, murmuring to himself. Women are all like ferocious tigers. As thoughts of her changing attire flickered through his mind, nearly leading him astray. We watching, Gao Yurongs melodious voice broke the silence, followed by a waft of her delicate fragrance. Wong E, maintaining his calm demeanor, replied. Star Wars Episode 6. "Oh," she responded, standing beside him for a moment before losing interest. She turned and walked to the corner of the living room by the refrigerator, asking, "Oh, I forgot to ask. What would you like to drink?" "Anything is fine," Wangi replied, adding, "As long as it isn't mineral water. Then, how about some juice I made last night? It's chilled." Gauron quickly returned with a cup of slightly opaque orange yellow beverage and placed it before Wongi. I added several different fruits. I'm not sure if it suits her taste. Wani scrutinized the cup before taking a small sip. It was pleasantly sweet and tangy, refreshingly cold and quite enjoyable. In truth, he preferred tea, but he refrained from expressing this to Gao Yurong. Gao Yurong seemed to sense his hesitation, her brows slightly furrowing in apparent displeasure. Yet, she chose to change the subject. "What do you like to eat? I will see if I have the ingredients." Anything is fine, Wani replied with a hint of exasperation. Truly not wishing to complicate matters. However, he felt it improper to reject her kind offer. Very well, Gaurong said, not pressing further, she dawned an apron, revealing her slender waist and long legs before turning to enter the kitchen. Wongi listened to the sounds emanating from the kitchen, shaking his head. Before long, the enticing aroma of food wafted into the living room. Wongi inhaled deeply, muttering to himself. It seems it might not be so bad after all. He had initially feared that he would be subjected to a culinary disaster. Soon, Gaurong emerged with a modest spread of four dishes and a soup. Though simple, the presentation was delightful, appealing to the senses. She even produced a bottle of red wine that Wong E could not identify. They both poured themselves a glass. Let us see if it's to your liking, Gao Yurong said, her eyes sparkling with anticipation as she looked at Wongi. At this point, he felt no need to be pretentious. After all, Gao Yurong was not a stranger. He directly picked up some meat with his chopsticks and placed it in his mouth, chewing thoughtfully before raising an eyebrow. "How is it?" Gao Yurong inquired, a hint of nervousness in her tone. "It's quite good," Wong replied honestly. "Is that all?" she pressed, appearing somewhat dissatisfied. Wong sighed and shot her glance. "All right, it's very delicious." Only then did a satisfied smile break across Gao Yurongs face.
