Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: Little Snow Empress, Play the Flute for Me!

Chapter 84: Little Snow Empress, Play the Flute for Me!

"Achoo!"

"Who's thinking about me?"

Jiang Chen rubbed his nose with a sneeze, wiping it carelessly—earning a disgusted glance from the Snow Empress sitting beside him.

After finishing their long forging journey, the two didn't stay in the Clear Sky Sect any longer. They were now on a flight back to Eastsea City.

"Play me a tune with your flute!"

The Snow Empress shot Jiang Chen a cold look. In her slender hands, she held a long flute—her newly forged weapon.

It was the result of the combined might of the entire Clear Sky Sect—one Divine Craftsman, two Saint Craftsmen—and even Zhen Hua's most secret technique, the Cycle Forging Method.

But though Zhen Hua was a Divine Craftsman, he was not a god. He couldn't withstand the wrath of three heavenly tribulations in a row.

The third bolt of lightning had nearly killed him, forcing him to summon both his four-word battle armor and divine mecha simultaneously just to survive.

In the end, he managed to reach Triple Heavenly Forging—a feat no mortal had ever achieved—but the cost was great. His blood essence was damaged, his soul power dropped a rank, and he likely would never perform another Heavenly Forge again.

Attempting it again would simply kill him.

But the result of his final masterpiece was worthy of legend—the Snow God Flute.

It was a dual weapon: flute and sword in one.

Forged entirely of divine ice crystal, translucent and pale blue, engraved with delicate frost patterns. The flute's end served as a sword hilt, from which icy lotus petals and drifting snowflakes seemed to flow naturally.

When drawn, the blade shimmered with an ethereal mix of blue and silver, its cold light radiating an aura of unyielding frost—perfectly suited for the Snow Empress's signature skill, the Emperor's Ice Sword.

The Ice God's Pearl was inlaid into the hilt, though it couldn't yet be called a divine weapon.

But once the Snow Empress attained godhood, her Snow God Flute would naturally ascend into a true godly artifact.

"Xue'er," Jiang Chen said seriously, "when we get back and see Gu Yue, make sure you hide that flute. Don't let that Silver Dragon King see it, or we're dead."

If Gu Yue ever found out that the Ice Dragon King's corpse had been forged into a weapon, she'd explode—literally.

Just imagining Gu Yue's furious voice accusing him of desecrating her kin gave him a pounding headache.

"I know," the Snow Empress said flatly. "You don't have to remind me."

She wasn't dumb. If even the Heavenly Emperor Dragon Di Tian saw this, he'd lose his mind, let alone Gu Yue.

She had originally wanted to name the flute Ice God Flute, but Jiang Chen had vehemently refused.

"The Ice God already existed," he'd argued. "You're not inheriting that mantle—you're creating your own. You need your own name. You'll be the Snow God from now on!"

The Snow Empress rolled her eyes, but seeing how earnest he was—and remembering how much he'd done for her—she reluctantly accepted the name.

When the plane landed, Jiang Chen sent the Snow Empress home and went straight to Gu Yue's dormitory. It was time to pick up Huo Yun'er and bring her home as well.

He hadn't brought her on the trip, and knowing her temper, she'd probably be furious.

"Well, if I come get her myself, she shouldn't have a reason to be mad," he thought optimistically.

Cloud Manor—a special residence provided by the academy for the three personal disciples of Limit Douluos, including Jiang Chen.

"Yun'er, I'm back! Let's go home!"

The courtyard lights were still on, but after shouting several times, no one answered.

He didn't think much of it and stepped inside.

"Gu Yue? Yun'er? You here?"

As he entered the living room, he spotted something curled up on the couch.

Leaning closer, he froze—a tiny silver dragon lay sleeping there. Its scales gleamed like polished silver under the lamplight, delicate translucent wings folded neatly by its sides.

It was only about twenty centimeters long—he could hold it in both hands.

Jiang Chen's mind blanked. "Wait… Gu Yue has a kid? With who?! That's not even scientifically possible!"

"Jiang Chen! Do you have a death wish?!"

The little silver dragon's eyes snapped open—twin galaxies of violet light filled with fury.

Only then did he realize what he was looking at—not a child, but the Silver Dragon King herself.

"Y-you... why are you so small?!"

Gu Yue ignored him, her voice icy. "Huo Yun'er has already left. Now scram."

Then she turned her back and curled up again.

She was badly injured—she hadn't expected that mere Sea God, a first-class deity, to wield a super divine weapon.

One careless moment and she'd suffered severe damage.

And it was all Jiang Chen's fault!

If not for him stopping her from reabsorbing Na'er and taking back the Silver Dragon Spear, she would've been at full power—none of this would've happened.

He had utterly ruined her perfect plans.

Ever since meeting him, her "peerless wisdom" had gone to waste. Everything had gone wrong.

She had sealed her true strength to live among humans for a while… and now her spiritual energy was shattered again, forcing her to remain in this fragile miniature dragon form while recovering.

Still, she had at least destroyed the Sea God's divine fragment—it was only a matter of time before she struck again.

Once her strength returned… Jiang Chen would pay.

But as she plotted revenge, she suddenly felt two warm hands touching her.

"You—you—you—you actually touched me?!"

The tiny dragon leapt upright, scales bristling, wings flared. Her violet eyes burned like fire.

"Jiang Chen! Do you want to die?!" she roared.

"I didn't mean—"

Before he could finish, she bit his hand.

Jiang Chen yelped. "Ow! Hey! You're a dragon, not a dog! Stop biting me!"

Her god-level teeth nearly took his hand clean off.

Seeing that she refused to let go, Jiang Chen hastily pulled out a rare spirit herb—a Teardrop of Yearning Dew, known to restore mental strength.

Instantly, the Silver Dragon King's eyes locked onto it, glowing with interest.

When he shifted it to the left, her little dragon head followed.

Right—so did she.

Up, down—the same.

"Ah!"

She realized she was being teased, got furious again, and bit him a second time—hard enough to draw blood.

"Okay, okay, you win! It's yours—take it! My gift to you, all right?" he pleaded.

After much grumbling, the little dragon finally released his hand and sniffed delicately.

Her brow furrowed slightly. "Why… do I sense a familiar aura from this?"

Jiang Chen instantly panicked.

He'd forgotten—the herb had grown in the valley between the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings' corpses. Of course it carried their scent!

Quickly wiping off the lingering aura, he said impatiently, "You want it or not? Fine if you don't."

Gu Yue said nothing. She flapped her small wings, floated up to his face, gently took the herb from his hand, and curled back up on the couch.

"Thank you…" she murmured softly.
