Chapter 4 — Rebirth and Re-Cultivation! Becoming a God in One Life!

Every Titled Douluo on the continent could feel it — that overwhelming pressure emanating from the skies.

A quasi-god.

That was the realm only half a step away from true godhood.

Yet, for countless generations, that half-step had remained uncrossable.

And today was coincidentally the day of the Huo Clan's ancestral ceremony.

Every Titled Douluo knew — the Huo Clan's quasi-god had passed away.

Another great earthquake in the power structure of the world!

At Shrek Academy, the man hailed as "the continent's number one" stared blankly at the distant heavens.

Beside him, a gentle woman smiled softly. "Another three hundred years have passed. The Huo Clan will inherit that million-year soul beast ancestor's power again. The young generation will have a hard time of it."

Yun Ming spoke calmly, "It doesn't matter. Their strength stems only from that million-year soul beast. Shrek Academy has accumulated for tens of thousands of years and has nurtured multiple gods. I believe my students are no weaker."

Then, gazing again at the farthest horizon, he murmured, "Even he couldn't cross that final barrier?"

"But I still have time."

Yun Ming was confident. He had reached the rank of Titled Douluo at twenty-three, level ninety-five at twenty-six, became an Ultimate Douluo at thirty-one, and a quasi-god by thirty-five — deemed by the Spirit Transmission Tower as an unparalleled genius of the era.

Unlike those chosen early by divine favor, Yun Ming had reached the quasi-god realm purely by his own cultivation.

A feat unprecedented and unrepeatable.

He believed that with more time, he would craft his own god seat and ascend through his own power.

"I'm still young!"

In Aolai City, Spirit Transmission Tower —

It was the annual Awakening Day. The streets were lively, even the poorest peasants bringing their children for martial soul awakening.

To awaken meant a chance to soar beyond fate.

"Ancestor, why did we travel all the way to Eastsea City for martial soul awakening?"

Outside the Awakening Room, two unattended children stood out sharply from the crowd. The boy's sword-like brows and bright eyes gave him an air of maturity far beyond his age. The girl was lively and adorable, her fair, delicate skin seeming almost translucent beneath her violet dress.

They were out of place among the common children.

"Ancestor? Ancestor? Say something!"

"Quiet!"

The boy was Jiang Chen — the reincarnated form of the million-year soul beast, the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger.

The girl was Huo Yuner, the chosen heir of the Huo Clan. By tradition, she should have inherited the clan's ancestral soul spirit—the million-year soul beast.

But because that "ancestor soul spirit" now faced a fatal tribulation, Jiang Chen had no choice but to reincarnate as human.

Yet tradition could not be broken. So the clan reluctantly placed Huo Yuner at his side.

Jiang Chen could only curse in his heart. What damn tradition! He had written those very rules himself ages ago! All this nonsense was just an excuse to spy on the power of his Evil God bloodline.

When he was only a soul spirit, the clan respected him as their godlike ancestor. But now that he had turned human again—they were watching him.

All he could do was scowl inwardly. Beasts—all of them!

He had never planned to serve as the Huo Clan's ancestral soul forever. Their relationship was based purely on mutual benefit.

It's just… this one life was turning out a bit too long.

"Stop calling me Ancestor! Do you want to expose me?"

If not for their endless pleading — and those dozen old geezers literally kneeling before him — he would have never agreed to escort a child.

He truly hated babysitting. After looking after thirty-four generations already, he was done.

Huo Yuhao's debt would never be repaid at this rate!

Huo Yuner stuck out her tongue and fell silent. Ancestor surely had his reasons for personally guiding her to this awakening.

Their turn came at last.

Huo Yuner tossed a golden token toward the staff. The workers froze instantly, their expressions shifting to awe. One immediately bowed. "This way, please!"

Amid all the curious gazes, the two children walked into the Spirit Transmission Tower.

"Huo Yuner, Jiang Chen."

The staff instantly understood — these were members of the Huo royal bloodline — the imperial family of the Federation itself!

They didn't know why such prestigious heirs had come to this small city, but reverence filled their faces regardless.

Just then, Jiang Chen froze slightly. "Old Yi?"

"You finally woke up!"

Back when Huo Yuhao's consciousness had been altered by Tang San, Electrolux's divine sense had supposedly been erased. Fortunately, Jiang Chen had anticipated it.

Even as a fragmented divine soul, Electrolux still had profound means, deceived Tang San's divine awareness, and ultimately hid himself within Jiang Chen's mind.

With Jiang Chen's hidden assistance, they had eventually founded the Spirit Transmission Tower together — though this version differed subtly from the one in the original timeline.

Old Yi sighed. "That so-called God King, strong as he was, had pitiful control over spiritual power."

That flaw had allowed him to survive.

"Don't worry, Old Yi," Jiang Chen said quietly. "I'll avenge you."

Electrolux sighed again. "Such a pity for young Yuhao… From the moment he was born, his fate was sealed. Just a pawn. Doomed to lose himself."

Jiang Chen smirked. "Who knows? Maybe he and Tang God King's daughter are living blissfully, long forgetting he even had a son."

This time, not with Juzi's child—but a real one by birth.

They were soon guided into the Awakening Room. The presiding middle-aged man, upon seeing Jiang Chen, immediately bowed deeply.

"Ancestor!"

Another member of the Huo Clan — and a Titled Douluo at that.

"What are you doing here?"

Jiang Chen sighed in exasperation. He recognized this one — a prodigy who had become Titled Douluo at twenty-four, equipped with a four-word battle armor, nearly rivaling Yun Ming in his youth.

It seemed the clan had sent him here deliberately — afraid Jiang Chen might run off.

As if he could still act as their ancestral soul!

The man straightened his posture. "The Ancestor has reincarnated and must be protected. If word gets out, danger will follow. The Huo Clan must safeguard your path."

"Fine, fine. Do what you want."

Jiang Chen didn't care. Just because he'd turned human didn't mean he was weak.

The Titled Douluo personally conducted the awakening ceremony.

"Huo Yuner! Martial Soul — Three-Eyed White Tiger! Innate Soul Power: Level Ten!"

Huo Yuner bowed respectfully. "Thank you, Uncle Tiangang."

"Very good!" The man nodded as he watched the little white tiger projection floating beside her.

Its forehead bore a sealed vertical eye, and a pair of pure white wings spread from its back.

"Martial Soul possession!"

In an instant, white light flared around Huo Yuner. Her eyes brightened, splitting into twin pupils. A third eye silently opened on her forehead, surrounded by faint solar rings. Her golden hair faded into tiger-striped patterns of black and white.

She blinked mischievously at Jiang Chen.

Three-Eyed White Tiger — an awakened martial soul with full innate soul power.

Excellent.

The man then turned to Jiang Chen, his tone even more reverent.

"Please, Ancestor, place your hands upon the crystal."

A burst of light flashed.

"Jiang Chen! Martial Soul — Dark Demon Evil God Tiger! Innate Soul Power: Level Ten!"
