Dorothy's POV
My mind wandered constantly while making rounds at the hospital today. Despite the exhaustion I should feel, energy coursed through my veins, making me restless. The decision was made. I wanted Joseph, and I wanted him now.
I reached out through our mental connection, updating him about our patients. Faith was improving but still struggled with solid foods, so I wanted to monitor her recovery closely to prevent choking episodes. Otherwise, she was progressing well.
"Luna, are you feeling alright?" Simona questioned me.
I glanced up to find Simona, Abigail, Naomi, and Adaline all staring at me with concerned expressions.
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"You're not talking to yourself," Naomi observed.
"Right, you always do that," Abigail added.
"We've grown accustomed to it, and now the silence feels strange. It's so unlike you that we wanted to check on you," Simona explained.
"Is this about Natasha?" Adaline asked softly.
