Sam's POV
Damn that bastard Gerry. The arrogant prick is dumping this mess in my lap when he was the one who signed off on sending Lara to the Academy in the first place. Who gives a shit if she can fight? She was born to be a Luna, bear an heir, and keep her mouth shut. If she still wants to play warrior after fulfilling her duties, fine. But no Alpha worth his salt would ever lose to a she-wolf in combat, pure blood or not.
Lucky for everyone involved, I always plan ahead. Sure, I didn't expect Lara to stumble across her fated mate at that damn school. What are the chances? But that doesn't mean I'm caught off guard.
I pull out the dossiers my Beta compiled on every Academy instructor the day we agreed to let Lara attend. Time to see who I can buy off or intimidate to get what I need.
A slow smile spreads across my face as I open Mason's file.
