They could even fully open the Eighth Gate of the Eight Gates Formation and survive for extended periods.
Even years after the war ended, Rock Lee still couldn't open the Gate of Death.
Only Might Guy and Might Duy, father and son, had ever done so.
In the end, Shennong lost to plot armor. Naruto's talk-no-jutsu convinced the movie's heroine Amaru to dispel Shennong's dark chakra, while Sasuke sealed all of Shennong's chakra points in a sneak attack.
Unable to use the techniques anymore, Shennong fled in disgrace and merged with Zero-Tails.
If those techniques could also be affected by his entry, Raizen estimated his physical body would reach a terrifying level once he mastered them.
As for the required dark chakra.....once he was an adult, his own chakra reserves plus entry boosts should be sufficient.
He wasn't a civilian ninja like Shennong with no kekkei genkai.
Hokage Tower.
Sarutobi Hiruzen looked at the latest performance reports with a satisfied smile.
Graduation season was approaching again. The village's new generation was growing stronger.
"Excuse me."
Namikaze Minato knocked and entered, kneeling on one knee.
"Third Lord, you summoned me?"
"There's something I'd like to entrust to you."
Hiruzen turned to Minato.
"Kakashi is an excellent shinobi, but his rigid adherence to rules causes friction with seniors and peers in every team he's assigned to."
Hiruzen paused, then continued,
"No matter how skilled he is in ninjutsu, he's still too immature in dealing with people.
It's probably because his father broke the rules to save comrades and then took his own life....leaving a deep shadow in Kakashi's heart."
Minato immediately understood—the Third wanted him to take Kakashi.
"So… you want me to take him?"
"Yes."
Hiruzen nodded.
"I've assigned the other two teammates as well: Uchiha Obito from the Uchiha clan, and Nohara Rin—a medical ninja with great potential."
Hiruzen stood and walked behind Minato.
If Raizen hadn't graduated so early—while Minato was still on Jiraiya's "Team Six" mission and unavailable—Hiruzen would have loved to assign Raizen to Minato as well.
But this arrangement was still good. Obito was a native Uchiha, showing the Hokage's tolerance.
It would help strengthen ties between the Uchiha and the village.
Everything was in preparation for the coming war.
"Understood."
Minato replied.
Taking on three more students was no trouble for him—especially since graduation was still some time away.
His ideas for a new technique were becoming clearer.
After discussing it with Jiraiya-sensei, Minato felt he would master it soon.
Probably right around the Chūnin Exams.
He created this new technique out of fear that Kushina would be sent to the battlefield as a war weapon.
Conflicts at the borders were growing more frequent.
Even someone like him, uninterested in war, could feel the storm approaching.
"You may go."
Hiruzen said.
After Minato left, he turned to look out the window.
The sky was clear for miles, full of spring vitality.
"Konoha must not fall under my watch."
Hiruzen had a premonition that t
his Chūnin Exam would serve as an omen before the storm.
The great nations would almost certainly send their village's newest geniuses to impress daimyo, secure funding, and even win submission or vassalage from smaller villages and clever minor nations.
…
Konoha Sushi Shop.
"Sis, where are you going?"
Atsui watched Samui pick up a box of sushi, clearly preparing to leave.
I'm stepping out for a bit."
A rare smile softened Samui's cold, refined features as she parted her cherry lips.
"I'll be back soon."
"You're going to see Uchiha Raizen?"
Atsui seemed to realize something.
Besides this sushi shop, they had several other safe houses in Konoha.
This particular outpost was mainly responsible for recruiting Uchiha Raizen.
His sister was almost certainly going to see him.
Raizen hadn't visited the shop in a while—they needed to gauge his current mindset.
"Yes, it's a mission."
"A mission…"
Atsui couldn't argue.
Honestly, he hated this.
It felt like his sister was selling herself for the village's sake—lowering herself to please Uchiha Raizen.
But he had no choice. He had been sent here to deepen their infiltration into Konoha.
That's why he enrolled in the ninja academy.
Not long ago, Samui had taken him to complete his registration.
"Safe travels."
Atsui said.
"Mm."
Hearing her brother's blessing warmed Samui's heart.
But the thought of going to Raizen's house again turned that warmth into bitterness.
