After the picture, we continued walking through the market, enjoying our time at the festival.
The place had only gotten busier. Lanterns glowed overhead as the sky slowly darkened into evening, and colorful lights from the stalls reflected off the pavement. Music drifted through the air from somewhere deeper inside the festival grounds, mixed with the sound of laughter, chatter, and the sizzling of food cooking.
We bought a lot of food.
Honestly… probably too much food.
Phoenix kept stopping every time he saw something interesting.
"Oh that looks good," he said at one stall.
Then five minutes later—
"Oh wait, that looks even better."
At one point we tried grilled corn covered in cheese, and something that looked suspiciously like fried ice cream.
I was pretty sure my stomach was going to explode before the night ended.
But the market was fun.
