"So are you going to take that?" Phoenix asked, leaning forward on the couch. "Or go with our suggestion?"
I looked at myself in the mirror one last time.
The firefly top really was pretty.
The pale green shimmered softly when I moved, and the layered wings gave it a delicate look. If someone else had been wearing it, I probably would have complimented them immediately.
But as I stared at my reflection, I knew the truth.
It just didn't feel like me. Iwasn't really feeling this top. Yes, it looked good. Yes, it was interesting but it definitely wasn't for me.
There was something about the red flower top that had felt more natural when I wore it earlier. Even though it was more revealing, it had somehow looked… right.
I sighed softly.
"I will go with the flower top," I said.
For half a second there was silence.
Then—
"YAY!"
Phoenix, Jamie, and Soren cheered like I had just made the greatest decision in the history of fashion.
Jamie even clapped dramatically.
