"Ahhhhhhhh!"
The scream tore through the night, sharp and unrestrained, cutting through the quiet hum of the street outside the restaurant.
Elian and Nicholas heard the screaming coming from the restaurant at the same time. Both of them stiffened in the car, their instincts flaring before their minds could catch up.
"Fuck," they hissed, almost overlapping, as they threw open the car doors and ran.
Neither of them bothered to lock the car. Neither slowed down. By the time they reached the entrance, the screaming had turned hoarse, uneven, broken by gasping breaths.
They ran into the restaurant and were met with chaos. The restaurant was empty. There was anyone inside except two people. Kasteil and another man, who they believe is Silas.
