At the same time that Hades' eldest daughter was obtaining her weapon, Odin's three daughters were already standing in front of Athena's house doors. The girls exchanged glances, then smiled at the very same moment—a matching smile filled with clear sarcasm—before raising their hands and knocking on the door.
Fortunately for them, or perhaps unfortunately for the residents of the house, Athena and her daughter were already inside. The moment the door was opened, the three girls' smiles widened even more, becoming mocking smiles tinged with arrogance.
Athena's eldest daughter looked at the three girls and studied their faces for a moment, unable to understand the reason for that strange smile drawn upon their faces. She felt uneasy, but she held herself together and said in a restrained tone:
"What is wrong, girls? Why did you knock on the door? Is there something? And what is with that strange smile?"
Athena, for her part, was also observing the three girls, and she too noticed that there was something unnatural in their behavior and gazes. She rose from her chair and walked with steady steps toward the door of her house, then stood beside her daughter and said:
"What is the matter, girls?"
The three girls looked at Athena and her daughter, then spoke together, in a condescending tone devoid of any respect:
"Do you know what happened a short while ago, ladies?"
Athena was shocked by their manner of speaking and by that rude tone she was not accustomed to hearing, so her eyebrows immediately furrowed. Yet she did not scold them, as curiosity had begun to creep into her, pushing her to know the reason behind this improper behavior and why they dared to address her in such a way without any formalities.
Athena smiled an artificial smile and gently placed her hand on her daughter's shoulder, a silent signal asking her to remain calm and not do anything rash, for she knew well that the three girls were deliberately trying to provoke her.
Then she said in a somewhat friendly tone, despite its obvious falseness:
"Alright… what happened, girls? Did something occur that I do not know about?"
The three girls' smiles widened further when they heard Athena's response, for this was exactly what they had expected. They knew that her curiosity would overcome her anger, and so they decided to go even further in their rudeness, speaking in an even more arrogant tone:
"Nothing really… it's just that we possess the same ability as our father in prophecy, and the same spiritual power. Do you know what that means?"
Athena's artificial smile froze instantly, and her features stiffened. As for Athena's eldest daughter, she froze in place, and the raging anger inside her suddenly died down, replaced by silent shock at the condescending tone with which the three spoke.
Athena's daughter took a small step forward and said, trying to comprehend their words:
"So… you can speak to my grandfather?"
The three girls looked at Athena's daughter with contempt, as if they were looking at the most despicable thing in the world. Then they stepped back and said together, in a dangerous tone charged with threat:
"Yes, of course, commoner. Now you know who is a commoner and who is noble, don't you?"
Then they continued in an even more arrogant tone:
"Now show some respect to the three sacred twins… the Three Seeresses of Asgard, the Chosen of Asgard."
The three girls exchanged a quick glance among themselves, for each of them had initially spoken a different title, but they realized it quickly and corrected their tone, as if they did not want to show any mistake before those they considered commoners.
They cleared their throats slightly, then said together with feigned confidence:
"The Three Seeresses of Asgard… now you know our name. Do not forget it. And we expect you to bow slightly in our presence. Is that understood?"
The three girls looked at Athena and her daughter and saw the shock clearly on their faces, so the three twins knew that they had succeeded in their plan. They quickly retreated, then walked away with rapid steps, at tremendous speed, as if fleeing before they could be caught.
But before they disappeared completely, they left behind a single sentence, thrown with clear contempt:
"Farewell, commoners."
Athena and her daughter came back to themselves at the sound of the three twins. Athena looked toward the place where the girls had been and saw them moving at tremendous speed, as if fear of the punishment she intended to inflict upon them was driving them to flee.
Athena was about to chase after them and punish them, but her daughter's voice stopped her as she said with clear concern:
"Is what they said true, Mother? Will they really be able to speak to my grandfather in the future? Is that true?"
Athena looked at her daughter, and signs of jealousy appeared on her face as she answered:
"Yes, my daughter… if the power of the three girls truly awakened and is related to prophecy and spiritual power, then they will be able to speak to him."
But she quickly continued in a sharper tone, trying to reassure her:
"But do not worry, my daughter. We too will be able to speak to your grandfather. Your grandfather grows stronger with time, and as long as our strongest lineage flourishes, he will become stronger. Every time one of his descendants dies, their soul returns to him, increasing his power."
Then she continued in a serious tone:
"But people like us—the rulers—if we die, we do not return to him. Rather, we reincarnate in the body of one of our descendants."
Athena's daughter listened to her mother's words in full until her mood improved somewhat, and she was amazed by what she said. True, she already knew this, but every time she heard it she was even more shocked by the greatness and power of her grandfather. And she felt a bit of jealousy toward those unawakened individuals who would die in the future and whose souls would return to Asgard.
Athena sensed what her daughter was thinking, so she sighed and said seriously:
"Do not be jealous, my daughter. True, the return of those who did not awaken their power to Asgard is considered fortune, but we—the rulers, my daughter—are Asgard's weapons."
She then continued in a firm voice:
"We rulers are Asgard's arms and eyes in this world. We are the ones who carry his vision, and we are the ones who spread his name in the world. Remember that well, for our existence is important to Asgard."
She continued while looking directly into her eyes:
"And your grandfather cares more about those who awaken their power and become rulers. I do not want you to think this way again. Is that understood?"
Then she added in a commanding tone mixed with concern:
"I want you to focus only on awakening your power, becoming one of the rulers, and making your grandfather proud of you. Do you understand?"
Athena's daughter nodded her head, determination and resolve shining once more in her eyes as before.
When Athena saw that, she wanted to speak with her daughter more and offer her additional advice, but a powerful spiritual energy carrying an urgent command stopped her.
Athena felt that spiritual energy and raised her eyebrows slightly in surprise, but she allowed it to enter her mind. The message was clear and direct: an order to gather at Odin's house.
Athena assumed that Odin wanted her to go to his house, and she expected that he had sent the message to her brothers as well, perhaps to provoke them or to boast about his three daughters. Anger appeared on her face as she moved swiftly toward Odin's house.
Before leaving, she turned to her daughter and said, leaving behind a few words:
"I must go now, my little one. Something important has happened. We will talk later."
Athena's daughter found her mother's behavior strange, but she did not care much. Instead, she clasped her hands together and said in a firm tone:
"I must find the three girls and teach them a good lesson about respect."
