Chapter 11: Gohan's Request
Master Roshi was surprised and asked curiously, "Oh, it's Gohan!
It's been a long time!"
Gohan greeted him, "Master, you've been keeping well lately, right?"
Master Roshi said proudly, "Ah, of course."
"Since I started focusing on health preservation, I watch beautiful women do yoga every day. Living another three hundred years wouldn't be a problem."
"By the way, what brings you here?"
"Don't you need to take care of the child at Mount Paozu?"
Gohan smiled: "Master, people grow up."
"The child I picked up back then is already twelve years old now and doesn't need my care anymore."
"A little girl came to the mountain, and I thought she seemed decent, so I let him go down the mountain with her to gain experience."
Master Roshi suddenly understood.
"So that's how it is. So many years have passed in the blink of an eye. I didn't expect that child to have grown up already."
"Hey, by the way, what did you come to me for?"
Gohan immediately stood very straight and said, "Master Roshi, I'd like to ask you for a favor."
Seeing how serious Gohan was, Master Roshi asked curiously, "What is it?"
"I'd like to ask you to take that child as your disciple."
Master Roshi was stunned.
He asked, "Why?"
"Is the child disobedient?"
Gohan sighed.
"This child is actually too obedient and very sensible."
"I usually urge him to train properly, but as a result, he trains harder and harder, even to the point of overdoing it."
Master Roshi scratched his head.
"Overdoing it?"
"What do you mean?"
Gohan said, "This child, he has loved training since he was young, which should be a good thing."
"But perhaps I was too strict in my teaching, he has trained too diligently from a young age, even sacrificing rest and playtime for practice."
"Yet, the more he does so, the more I worry, if he were to go down the wrong path, it would be terrible."
Master Roshi thought of Crane Hermit and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
He asked, "How is this child's talent?"
"His talent can be considered heaven-sent."
"Although he's only twelve now, his skill is already on par with mine."
Master Roshi gasped sharply.
"Hiss, hearing you say that, this child truly is a genius!"
Gohan nodded, "Yes, he's a martial arts prodigy, which is why I'm especially afraid he might stray from the right path!"
Master Roshi asked seriously, "In that case, I agree."
"What's his name? I'll keep an eye out for him."
"Son Goku. He's quite special—he has a tail growing from his back, so he should be easy to recognize."
Master Roshi's pupils suddenly contracted sharply.
The image of young Goku returned to his mind.
That's right, little Goku had an extra tail. He had thought it was just a decoration.
Because Goku had arrived with the pretty girl Bulma, Master Roshi's attention had been entirely on Bulma, and he hadn't paid much notice to Goku.
Now that he thought about it, it seemed Goku had been carrying a pole on his back.
Wasn't that the Power Pole he had brought from Korin Tower and passed down to Gohan?
He actually hadn't recognized it!
One has to admit, the world is truly small!
However, any child who can ride the Flying Nimbus must be a good kid with unquestionable character.
Master Roshi immediately responded, "Alright, I understand."
"If I encounter your grandson in the future, I'll help guide him."
Gohan immediately bowed to Master Roshi.
"Thank you, Master!"
"After all these years as master and disciple, no need for formalities. Would you like to stay for a meal?"
Gohan shook his head and declined, "No, Master, I need to keep traveling."
"I promised Fortuneteller Baba I'd work as her security guard."
"I need to get there before dark."
Master Roshi nodded.
"Ah, I was just being polite. Then you should go!"
Gohan didn't feel awkward and bowed formally to Master Roshi, "Then I'll trouble you with Goku's matter."
"I won't disturb you further. Goodbye, Master!"
"Goodbye!"
With that, Gohan departed.
Master Roshi watched as Gohan disappeared in a cloud of dust, then turned and headed back toward Turtle Hermit's House.
...
Although Bulma had wet her panties, it was currently summer and the air was quite warm.
The ventilation on the Flying Nimbus was excellent, and before long her panties had dried naturally.
Afraid that Goku would find out and she'd be embarrassed, Bulma didn't take time to change clothes and continued traveling with Goku on the Flying Nimbus.
At this moment, Bulma wasn't particularly fixated on quickly finding the Dragon Balls, so she adjusted their course slightly, deliberately heading toward East City.
As the sun began to set in the west, the two arrived above the large metropolis of East City.
While East City wasn't as prosperous as West City, it wasn't far behind.
Just short of Capsule Corporation's GDP.
All kinds of commerce were highly developed, especially the abundant variety of delicious food.
Bulma said, "Goku, it's getting dark. Let's stay in East City tonight."
Goku sat on the cloud, already drowsy and half-asleep.
"Sure, whatever you say!"
Bulma was somewhat surprised.
When he ran all the way, he was full of energy.
But after sitting on the Flying Nimbus for half a day, he was almost asleep.
Bulma said, "Goku, this neighborhood is quite bustling."
"Not only did we obtain the Flying Nimbus today, but we also smoothly acquired a Dragon Ball."
"How about we celebrate?"
Goku asked curiously, "How do we celebrate?"
He didn't like crowded entertainment activities.
Bulma pondered for a moment.
She knew Goku too well—he didn't enjoy various forms of entertainment.
Aside from fighting, his only hobby was eating delicious food.
Bulma had a sudden idea: "Goku, how about we go explore the night market food street?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Goku's previously lazy demeanor instantly changed.
He sat up straight, full of energy and vitality.
"Really? With my appetite, if we go to a food street, it's going to cost a lot of money."
Bulma laughed dismissively, "No problem, eat as much as you want."
"I'm not short on money. Eat whatever you like, just don't waste food."
Goku immediately excitedly grabbed Bulma's arm, looking up gratefully into her eyes: "Bulma, you're really too good to me!!!"
Bulma: "..."
