According to the system, Legendary gear only revealed its true power in the hands of a Level 7 or above—meaning he was currently wielding equipment meant for the absolute peak of Orario.

As Roy strolled back to the Starry Garden, his good mood was abruptly soured by a familiar sensation. Someone is following me.
He didn't change his expression, but his eyes narrowed. Two adventurers were blending into the crowd, occasionally casting "casual" glances his way. Roy wondered if it was Freya again, but he quickly realized the trackers were mere Level 1 fodder. Freya wouldn't send such low-quality trash to follow a Level 3.
A flash of anger crossed Roy's mind. Who the hell do they think they are? Sending Level 1s to track him was a blatant insult.
At a corner, Roy accelerated. The two trackers followed, only to find him gone. They panicked, searching frantically until they spotted his back entering an alley forty meters away. Afraid of losing him, they abandoned all subtlety and sprinted after him.
The moment they entered the alley, Roy burst from the shadows.
Bam! Roy slammed one man's head into the stone wall, the impact drawing blood and leaving him dazed. The second man tried to draw his sword, but Roy swept his leg out, tripping him before delivering a brutal kick to his face. The man flew five meters back, groaning in agony.
"Wait! Justice Sapling, wait! We aren't your enemies!" the man against the wall gasped.
"So you know who I am, yet you still followed me?" Roy's eyes were cold.
"Someone wants to see you. We were just sent to invite—" "Who?" "You'll know when you get there..."
Before the man could finish, Roy grabbed his head and gave it a sharp, violent twist. Snap. The man's neck broke instantly. Roy had no patience for riddles. Answer the question or die; there was no middle ground.
"Your turn," Roy said, standing over the other youth.
The youth was terrified. He just killed my partner without a second thought! On the surface, Roy was supposed to be a righteous member of the Astraea Familia. Since when did they become more brutal than the Dark Sects?
"It was Captain Zanis's order!" the youth blurted out, choosing his life over his boss.
"Zanis..." Roy paused. Zanis Lustra, the Captain of the Soma Familia. He had expected Freya or Ikelos, but not the wine-peddlers.
He realized Zanis must have recognized him at the forge. When Roy had gone to "buy" the Soma wine, he hadn't worn his mask. If the "Berserker" who just beat the Freya Familia appeared at the Soma residence, the connection would have been too obvious. He had even left over a million Valis as a "shut-up fee" rather than just robbing them, hoping Zanis wouldn't make trouble.
Clearly, Zanis had misinterpreted the gesture. Roy's gaze turned icy. Only dead men keep secrets. "Can I go?" the youth asked with a fawning smile. Roy nodded, patting the man's shoulder. "Brother, keep the fact that I killed your friend a secret, okay?" "I promise! Forever!" the youth vowed.
Zzzzt! Roy's lightning-blade pierced the man's heart.
He stashed both bodies in his spatial ring. He'd dump them in a different world later—they would simply cease to exist. Meanwhile, Zanis was waiting in a teahouse, wondering why his "invitation" was taking so long.
He had seen Roy at the forge and recognized his voice. He realized the boy in the black cloak who bought the Soma wine was "Justice Sapling." Zanis didn't know why Roy needed the wine, but he knew Roy was rich and wanted to stay hidden. His greed told him he could blackmail the boy for a fortune.
