Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: A New Familiar! Elf Saint! The Stunning Saintess Boss!

Suddenly, a prompt popped up in front of George's eyes.

[Number of Familiars +1]

[You can now actively choose to bind a familiar.

[When a boss that meets the conditions appears near you, as long as its level is not higher than 20, you can force-bind it as a familiar.

[Alternatively, you can choose to be passively bound, and randomly lock on to a boss in the Underworld Realm that meets the conditions. After binding, you will be teleported to the location of the familiar.]

George's eyes widened, and a bright, excited light flashed in his gaze. He took a deep breath and muttered to himself:

"Can I have two familiars now? As long as the boss's level is not higher than 20, I can bind it on purpose?"

George was stunned!

This was way too crazy.

As long as the boss's level is not higher than 20, you can bind it-this means... even if it's an SSR level boss, no, even an SSS level boss, as long as the level matches, George could become its master!

For example: Kent is only level 1. He's the top of the world, an SSR-class changer, the Blazing Angel Knight!

If Kent was also in the realm, and was a monster in that place, George could instantly become the master of this top-tier genius.

And as George's level went up, he could even have third, fourth, fifth... even SSS-level familiars!

Thinking about that, George's heart started to beat faster. He took a deep breath of fresh air, trying to calm himself down.

An R-rank master was weak?

That was so delicious!

Even if George's own power was terrible, as long as his familiars were strong and he had many of them, he could crush the top of the pyramid!

SSR? Just a piece of meat to be raised.

Trying to control his excitement, George raised his hand and clicked on random lock.

He chose this option because there were no high-tier bosses around. There were only a few 20-level mini-bosses, but they weren't even as strong as the Goblin King. What was the point of them?

[Target locked. Available familiar: Elf Saint]

[Elf Saint Elise, Level 12, B-Rank]

The same kind of prompt popped up again. George's pupils narrowed for a second. He was a bit lost for a moment.

"Hey, I have a question."

Goblin King: "What?"

George: "You kept talking about that annoying elf. Her name is Elise, right?"

If George remembered right, the reason why the Goblin King was now so weak, with only a few old, sick, and weak goblins left, was probably because of a single elf boss.

Goblin King: "Master, how did you know? Oh! It's her! That evil elf! She's so strong!"

George's lips curled. "Never mind."

Goblin King was confused: "What?"

George couldn't help but smile a little. "We're on the same side, so let it go."

The Goblin King opened his eyes wide and fell silent.

George frowned. He hadn't expected things to be this lucky. He rubbed his nose and said, "Not willing? Then..."

Compared to the Goblin King, George cared more about Elf Saint Elise.

It wasn't because she was a saint. He'd heard that elves were all super beautiful, like characters from a game - perfect looks and body. But the real reason was that Elise's level and rank were higher than the Goblin King.

If he bonded with her, he'd definitely get better stat rewards.

Goblin King: "That annoying elf, even the master is being tricked by her? "

He sighed and nodded reluctantly.

George gave a small nod. A second later, a big Hexagram Spell Circle appeared under his feet. Seeing that familiar light, he told the Goblin King, "Stand next to me."

The Goblin King shook his body, held his big hammer, and quickly ran over.

His body started to fade, then finally turned into a puff of smoke.

When he opened his eyes again, George was standing by a lake.

[You have entered the Elf Saint Boss's territory.]

[You have been spotted by the Elite Troll Boss.]

Two prompts appeared almost instantly.

?!

George froze.

What? What was that?

Elite Troll.

Meanwhile, the Goblin King fell into the lake and popped his head up, gasping for air. He looked shocked and shouted:

"Master, how did you get so strong? You can teleport so fast and bring us right to that evil elf's place!"

"Wait! No!"

"That's a troll, not an elf!"

The Goblin King suddenly widened his eyes.

George followed the direction the Goblin King was pointing.

There was a small figure - curvy, with a perfect body, a beautiful face that looked like it came out of a game, smooth and pale skin, wearing a thin piece of cloth that barely covered her body. Her body was almost visible through the fabric.

Behind her were two elf wings, light as a butterfly, fluttering slightly in the air.

But in front of the Elf Saint stood a huge monster. It was at least seven or eight meters tall, a terrifying giant, with skin covered in rock-like armor, brown like mud, and covered in moss.

The troll held a huge bone sword, making a clang sound. Then, it lit a fire on the blade with a whoosh.

[Elite Troll Boss]

Rank: B

Level: 17

HP: 29,375

Stats: Strength 750, Stamina 780, Intellect 602, Dexterity 438

Skills: .........

?!

Was he crazy?

George looked at the troll's stats and his eyes twitched.

This was really strong.

At 17th level, its HP was almost 30,000. All of its stats were way better than the Goblin King.

And the way the Elite Troll and the Elf Saint were acting - it looked like a boss battle between two monsters.

George paused and thought:

"17-level troll, that's eligible. The Elf Saint is also good. So I have to..."

He looked at the Goblin King.

Both the troll and the Elf Saint were eligible!

And both were stronger than the Goblin King.

So, George was thinking about throwing the Goblin King away and instead choosing the troll and the Elf Saint as his new familiars.

[Detected a suitable familiar target nearby.]

[Elf Saint Elise: tremendous potential, worth focusing on.]

[Elite Troll: powerful combat power, a warrior under Flame-Winged Demon Austin. Low potential, not worth training.]

[Currently bound familiar: Goblin King: has room for improvement, may break through to A-rank.]

George read the message and blinked.

"Under the command of the Infernal Lord? That 32-level Infernal Lord? Low potential, not worth training? Well, then I'll stick with the Goblin King and the Elf Saint."

George didn't quite understand why the troll had low potential. At least, right now, its Stamina and Strength stats were way above average.

But the system probably wasn't wrong. After all, it had given him a tutorial. He'd just follow the rules.

Suddenly, the troll noticed George. Its small eyes turned to him, and it growled in a deep voice:

"Damn elf! You brought help? Haha, a weak goblin like you, and... uh? A human!"

"Then..."

The troll shook its neck and swung its bone sword in a flash, aiming straight for Elise.

"Kill that damn elf, then kill these two bugs too!"

?!

George was shocked.

What the hell?

If his familiar was killed like that, that would be a huge waste.

In an instant, George made his choice and bound the target.

[Binding successful.]

[Elf Saint's rank has improved.]

[Elf Saint has become an A-rank boss.]

[Elf Saint has unlocked an A-rank exclusive skill.]

[Elf Saint's stats have increased.]

[Elf Saint has leveled up.]

[Elf Saint's current level: 15]

[You received Strength feedback: Intellect +10, Stamina +10, Dexterity +10, Strength +10. You gained an extra 2000 HP.]

?!

George was speechless.

Just by binding Elise, both the familiar and himself had gotten a huge boost.

Was this what an SSS-grade ability was like?

George's heart pounded.

And after reaching 15th level, Elise was suddenly surrounded by golden light.

Then, in a flash, she dodged the troll's attack.

The troll was completely stunned.
