Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Ninja Academy

Sora's talent for ninjutsu was actually not low, but his chakra amount was too small, completely unable to sustain the release of a ninjutsu.

For example, after Nonō taught Sora the Clone Technique, he learned it very quickly. But the clone he released was just like Naruto's in the original story, it collapsed and dissipated right after appearing.

The root cause was still the insufficient chakra amount in his body.

Regarding this, Sora actually had a solution, which was the Tailed Beasts.

Just like the Clone Technique released by Naruto in the original story, those dense crowds of clones were thanks to Naruto's Uzumaki lineage and the Nine-Tails' chakra inside him.

The Tailed Beasts in the Naruto world were like large power banks. Almost all Jinchuriki had inexhaustible chakra, the difference was only whether the Jinchuriki could control the Tailed Beast inside them.

If he could find a way to get a Tailed Beast as a power bank, the Azure Dragon plus a Tailed Beast.

Sora thought about that scene and felt it was a good idea. But for now, it was just a thought.

...

In the 38th year of Konoha, April, when cherry blossoms were falling.

Today was the enrollment day for the Ninja Academy. Nonō brought Sora and three other children to the academy to complete the enrollment procedures.

Along the way, Nonō told the children about the points to note for the Ninja Academy entrance test. She did not say much to Sora, as she was quite reassured about him.

Most children in Konoha's Ninja Academy enrolled around the age of six, but some enrolled earlier. For example, Kakashi enrolled at four and graduated from the academy at five.

At the entrance of the Ninja Academy, looking at the bustling crowd, Sora secretly analyzed the scene before him.

According to the original setting, the entrance test for Konoha's Ninja Academy usually consisted of two parts: basic physical fitness test and chakra sensing test.

For orphans from outside the village, the test might be stricter, as Konoha's higher-ups would not easily trust outsiders. Furthermore, there was an initial identity check to confirm if there were any suspicious backgrounds.

But Sora had been in Konoha for almost a year. Since he was standing here, it seemed this covert check had already been passed.

Sora looked around, his gaze stopping not far away, where Kurenai Yūhi was being led by a woman with a gentle demeanor.

The woman was about thirty years old, with long black hair tied up at the back of her head. Her eyes and eyebrows were seventy percent similar to Kurenai's, but she had more maturity and grace. She wore a light purple kimono, and her movements exuded an elegance.

'Is that Kurenai's mother?' Sora thought to himself, 'She never seemed to be mentioned in the original story. It seems this world has some differences from the original.'

As if sensing Sora's gaze, Kurenai turned her head. Seeing Sora, her eyes lit up and she waved at him. Sora smiled slightly and nodded in acknowledgment.

"Sora, are you nervous?" Nonō gently patted his shoulder, a trace of concern in her eyes.

"It's fine." Sora smiled slightly, "It's just going through the motions anyway."

Nonō nodded, her gaze sweeping over the other children, and said softly, "You too, relax, just perform normally."

At that moment, Kurenai and her mother walked over.

"Nonō, long time no see." Kurenai's mother greeted with a smile, her voice gentle and soft, sounding like a good wife and loving mother.

"Yes, the last time we met was at the hospital, right?" Nonō replied.

Kurenai's mother looked at Sora, a hint of curiosity in her eyes, "This must be the Sora that Kurenai often mentions, right?"

Sora nodded politely, "Hello, Auntie."

Kurenai stood beside her mother, her cheeks slightly red, and said softly, "Sora, you will definitely pass today!"

Sora smiled, "Of course."

Kurenai's mother stroked her daughter's head and said to Sora in a slightly teasing tone, "Kurenai rarely cares so much about others. It seems you two get along quite well."

"Kurenai is very sensible. We often train together." Sora's heart jumped, and he quickly said.

"Oh, often together..."

As they were talking, the school gate slowly opened, and a Chunin teacher walked out, holding a list in his hand.

"All children enrolling, line up according to the list order. Parents, please wait outside the gate!"

The crowd immediately became restless, and the children stepped forward to line up. Sora nodded to Nonō and Kurenai's mother, then walked over with the children from the orphanage.

While lining up, Sora noticed that most of the children around were dressed well, obviously children from Konoha village itself. Their glances towards Sora and the others held a bit of scorn, and some even muttered quietly, "Orphans from outside the village again, what talent could they have?"

Sora sneered inwardly, 'Sure enough, exclusive people exist everywhere.'

Soon, the test began.

The first item was the basic physical fitness test, including running, push-ups, and reaction ability.

This was child's play for Sora. Half a year of hellish training plus the enhancement from the Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon had long since made his physical fitness far surpass that of his peers.

"Next group, Sora, Uchiha Ryota, Yūnoki Natsu, Fujimaru Kaito!" After the teacher read the names, the four stepped forward.

"Running test, five laps around the field, timing starts!"

Sora took a deep breath and started running. He did not sprint at full speed but maintained a steady pace, running steadily at the front of the group.

By the third lap, the other children were already panting heavily, while Sora's breathing remained even.

"Is this guy a monster? Running so fast and still not tired?" Uchiha Ryota, who was behind him, exclaimed.

Sora ignored him, but analyzed in his heart, 'At this speed, I should get a relatively high score, not too conspicuous, but not get eliminated either.'

In the end, Sora finished the running test in first place, but only slightly faster than the second place, Uchiha Ryota.

With Sora's deliberate restraint, the subsequent push-up and reaction tests were the same.

"Sora, comprehensive rating A, pass!" When the teacher announced the result, a flash of surprise passed through his eyes.

...

The second test was chakra sensing. This was the part Sora worried about the most, as his chakra amount was pitifully small.

The test method was simple: inject chakra into a special sensing stone. The degree to which the stone lit up represented the amount of chakra and control.

"Next, Sora!"

Sora stepped forward, placed his hand on the sensing stone, and concentrated on mobilizing the chakra in his body. However, the stone only lit up faintly, the glow very weak.

The teacher frowned and said flatly, "Insufficient chakra amount, superior control, rating C."

"He really is useless. What's the use of good physical fitness?"

"Right, what's the use of strong physical fitness?"

A wave of snickers came from the surroundings.

Sora's face remained calm, but he sighed inwardly, 'Sure enough, chakra is still my weak point. But it's okay, I have the Azure Dragon. Taijutsu is my main field.'

In the end, combining the results of the two tests, Sora barely met the enrollment standard.
