Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: "The First Slap"

Nikita stands looking at the rankings board, then suddenly turns to Aibar and gives him a mocking, sarcastic smile.

"Oh, you were the one who challenged me first. Looks like today just isn't your day."

Aibar regains his composure and puts on an angry expression. A red aura begins emanating from his body as he looks at Maria as though he is angry with her.

Maria is slightly intimidated as well, but barely manages to keep her composure and says in a brave voice:

"Even if you can scare everyone else, you can't scare me..."

However, she thinks to herself:

What a terrifying red aura... Every time I see it, I feel like I can barely breathe.

Later, the rest of the lessons come to an end, and just as everyone is preparing to leave, the school president signals that everyone needs to gather in the event hall for a meeting, while making sure no one leaves through the main exit.

And so, the meeting begins.

Aibar steps onto the stage.

He begins speaking calmly:

"There are those among you who want to defeat me. Those who don't want me to remain the Guardian of Order. And there are even those who want to become the Guardian of Order in my place. I know."

Everyone in the hall is intimidated by Aibar's cold, composed expression.

Aibar continues in a calm but icy voice:

"If you have the courage, come forward. Prove that you can defeat me and that you can become an outstanding leader for this school. I know there are many of you capable of doing so. Come on, step forward. Let's see what you're capable of."

Those who wanted to become the Guardian of Order, even those who disliked Aibar, are too frightened to say a word from their seats.

Aibar begins searching the crowd with his glowing crimson eyes.

Then he finds Nikita.

He looks directly at her and gestures toward her.

"Come. You've wanted to defeat me all this time, haven't you? Or have you gotten scared?"

Nikita steps onto the stage, angry but remaining calm.

Bastard...

Aibar begins scanning the crowd again with his glowing crimson eyes.

Aibar calmly says in a cold voice:

"Don't think I don't know. There are plenty of people among you who dislike me and want to become the Guardian of Order in my place. Come forward. Step up."

No one dares to move.

Symbat remains seated, thinking calmly:

Hmm... Of course I want to become the Guardian of Order. But Aibar is a better Guardian of Order than I would be. I'm satisfied with him.

Aibar calmly says:

"Fine. No one else is coming out? Don't say I didn't give you a chance later. Then let's begin."

He gives Nikita a terrifying glare.

Although Nikita is frightened, she gathers her courage and stands straight as if nothing is wrong, ready to defend herself.

The students in the hall begin whispering among themselves:

"That newcomer is done for."

"He's just a kid... This is the first time I've actually started feeling sorry for someone."

Their whispers are mixed with nervous jokes.

Suddenly, Aibar turns toward the seated students and shouts with his terrifying, glowing crimson eyes:

"QUIET!!!"

The entire hall falls silent.

Aibar turns around and begins walking toward Nikita.

Nikita quickly closes her eyes out of fear. Then, gathering her courage, she opens them again.

Aibar is standing directly in front of her.

He removes the badge on his chest that reads "Guardian of Order" and pins it onto Nikita's chest.

Everyone is stunned.

Aibar turns back toward the students and calmly says:

"From now on, Nikita is the Guardian of Order. He is the only person who can take my place."

The students in the hall begin whispering again:

"No way..."

Aibar's biggest supporter, Almaz, suddenly stands up and speaks with concern:

"Guardian of Order... What is this? He isn't worthy of taking your place. If you're tired and want to take a break, there are plenty of people far more qualified to serve as the temporary Guardian of Order. They're much more capable than him. So why him specifically? Especially when he's your rival..."

Almaz grows angry but keeps his voice controlled.

"I don't agree with this. No. I refuse to acknowledge him..."

Aibar calmly says:

"Do you really think he isn't worthy? Fine. Then why didn't the others—the people you considered your favorites—step forward? Didn't they have the courage to face me? To come before me? Why can't they tell me to my face that they disagree with me and want to become the Guardian of Order in my place?

After all, the Guardian of Order has to be brave. Someone who can make their voice heard. Someone who has enough courage to even stand against me, because I'm not perfect either.

And for Nikita, this is nothing.

And I warned you. So don't say later that I didn't warn you."

Almaz falls silent, but he still refuses to acknowledge Nikita.

Aibar turns back toward Nikita and calmly extends his hand.

"So... congratulations, new Guardian of Order."

He congratulates Nikita.

This was exactly what Nikita had been aiming for—the position of Guardian of Order.

At this point, the title was practically more prestigious than even that of the school president.

Nikita refuses to accept Aibar's outstretched hand and silently knocks it away again. Then she takes the microphone.

Aibar shows no reaction. He simply bends down slightly to match Nikita's height and quietly whispers his admission of defeat directly into Nikita's ear:

"I lost."

Nikita gives a barely noticeable shudder.

However, she quickly regains her composure and begins her speech:

"First of all, I promise that I'll work hard and accomplish many things from now on. I'm deeply grateful to everyone..."

Nikita is so happy that she doesn't even know what to say. She is overwhelmed with joy and embarrassment at the same time.

The meeting eventually ends, and everyone heads home.

As soon as Nikita enters the house, she excitedly hugs her brother.

"Did you see that? I beat him. He admitted it to me personally."

Alexei was also at the meeting, and he is happy as well. In fact, he begins respecting Aibar even more for accepting his defeat and acknowledging his little sister.

Meanwhile, Aibar walks home calmly, lost in thought the entire way.

He eventually composes himself and calmly thinks:

"What was I thinking...?"

He clears his mind, enters his house, and spends the rest of the day as usual.

The next day, Aibar and Maria arrived early and tidied the classroom as usual.

Aibar calmly said to Nikita, "There are still many people who don't acknowledge you. Be careful. If you want, I can be your assistant."

Nikita shook his head without hesitation and refused.

However, Aibar continued calmly, "Yes, you're very skilled with weapons. But there are all kinds of scumbags in this school. They could deceive you, plan something, lure you into a trap, and use force against you. And you might not be prepared for a physical fight without a weapon."

Nikita took his words as an insult and became slightly irritated.

"Huh!? What are you trying to say? I've mastered seven martial arts."

Aibar calmly replied, "Excellent. Even so, if you ever need help, tell me. Especially if someone invites you somewhere, don't forget to let me know."

Nikita didn't want to listen to him anymore, so she nodded and agreed just to get him off her back. Aibar left her alone.

After the second lesson ended, during the break, several students who opposed Nikita gathered together and began making a plan.

After the third lesson, when the bell rang, Nikita went out into the hallway.

Meanwhile, Aibar remained inside the classroom, sitting calmly and thinking.

Suddenly, a boy came running up to Nikita and looked at her.

"Guardian of Order... There's about to be a fight between two classes. Please stop them..."

Nikita immediately thought of warning Aibar. However, the boy hurried her along.

"Hurry! There's no time! They might kill each other..."

Nikita calmly replied, "Fine..."

She followed the younger student.

However, after Aibar finished gathering his thoughts, he headed toward the window to get some fresh air. That was when he noticed them through the window.

They were heading toward the school's huge storage warehouse.

Nikita entered the warehouse and walked into the middle of a crowd that had formed a circle around the area.

Thinking that a fight was already taking place, Nikita stepped in to break it up.

However, the moment she entered the center of the crowd, someone secretly struck her over the head with a bat.

Nikita loses his balance, feeling dizzy, and collapses onto the floor. One of the bastards takes advantage of the moment and kicks Nikita in the side. They keep him from getting back on his feet.

Then Meirzhan emerges from the crowd and stops directly in front of Nikita. He begins unzipping his pants.

Nikita closes his eyes and quietly turns his head away.

"No..."

Meirzhan then begins urinating directly on him.

"No..." Nikita whispers again, turning away and refusing to look at him.

Meirzhan gives a slight smirk.

"Hmm... You're not exactly ugly. So why don't we just make you our shared little toy? At least then you'll know your place... and you could become our favorite sex doll—oops... I mean, Guardian of Order..."

He bursts into loud laughter.

Suddenly, the door is thrown open with a loud bang.

"What the hell is going on here?!"

The voice is unmistakably familiar to everyone.

Aibar walks in with a calm expression.

"What is going on here?"

His voice is suddenly filled with anger as he shouts.

Meirzhan immediately starts trying to compose himself. All the bastards become frightened, lowering their heads and showing how deeply sorry they are.

They all move aside, making a path for Aibar.

Aibar walks over and approaches Nikita. In a calm voice, he asks,

"Are you all right? I warned you, didn't I? I already know exactly what these guys are like."

Nikita looks at Aibar and answers calmly,

"Yeah... I'm fine... Other than the fact that some of my clothes got dirty..."

Before Nikita can finish his sentence, Aibar regains his composure, exhales lightly, and says coldly,

"Ugh... Fine. We'll fix that now."

A terrifying red aura begins emanating from Aibar, making him look like a monstrous red creature.

Everyone freezes in fear.

Even Nikita looks at him uneasily.

"What... is this?"

Aibar extends his hand.

Everyone silently understands what he wants.

Aibar is demanding Meirzhan's bat.

Terrified, Meirzhan brings the bat over to Aibar and begins pleading.

"Please forgive me... I—"

Before he can finish, Aibar grabs him by the head and slams his face into the wall.

Blood begins dripping from Meirzhan's nose and mouth.

Aibar doesn't let go.

He repeatedly slams Meirzhan's head against the wall, one blow after another, without stopping.

The bastards watch in terror.

Their voices tremble as they whisper among themselves.

"This is exactly what I was afraid of... I told you guys! You're all responsible for this..."

"Stay quiet, or he won't spare you either..."

Aibar finally releases Meirzhan's head.

Meirzhan is too weak to stand. He falls backward onto the floor, unable to move.

His face is covered in blood.

Aibar looks down at him coldly.

"This was your plan?"

He then strikes Meirzhan several times with the bat.

Meirzhan slightly raises his head and begins begging through tears.

"Aibar, please... I won't do it again..."

Aibar coldly replies,

"You won't be doing it a second time anyway."

Maria, feeling sorry for Meirzhan, speaks up.

"Aibar, stop. He realizes his mistake and is asking for forgiveness. Just let him go..."

Aibar looks at Nikita with an angry, cold expression.

"He still hasn't apologized to you."

He continues striking Meirzhan several more times with the bat.

Aibar stops just before Meirzhan loses consciousness.

Meirzhan is barely conscious.

Aibar turns toward all the delinquents and says coldly,

"So whenever I stayed silent, you thought that meant you could keep going?"

Nikita feels sorry for Meirzhan and, for the first time, pleads with Aibar.

"At least hit him with your hand. Not with a weapon."

The bastards' eyes widen as they become even more terrified.

"No... Actually, Aibar is showing mercy by using the bat. His hands are worse..."

They begin crying.

Nikita puts on an angry expression and shouts,

"I said stop!!!"

Aibar calmly replies,

"No."

Aibar stops hitting Meirzhan and looks around coldly.

"Who's next?"

He then presses the bat against an area close to Meirzhan's groin.

Nikita gets up, walks over to Aibar, and suddenly slaps him across the face.

Everyone is stunned, staring at Nikita.

Aibar slowly turns his head toward Nikita and looks at him with a calm yet surprised expression.

It was the first time Aibar had ever been slapped across the face.
