Chapter 1 — The Hidden Door
Kai was the first to spot it: a cracked stone door at the edge of the forest, glowing faintly.
"Guys… I think I found something," Kai whispered
The others gathered behind him.
Lina raised a brow. "If we die, I'm haunting you."
Tayo roll his eyes. "Nobody is dying. It's probably just old rocks."
But when Mira touched the door, it slid open on its own.
Inside was a long silver walkway that split into two glowing paths:
+ One warm and golden
+ One dark with red sparks
A message floated above them:
THE FIRST STEP YOU TAKE SHOWS WHO YOU ARE.
Eren flinched. "Are we suppose to pick sides? Demon or angel? That sounds messed up."
Sera stepped forward, calm. "Maybe it's not about being good or evil. Maybe it's about the kind of choices we make."
The Choice
The ground trembled. They had to decide.
Amira spoke first. "We go together. No splitting."
But the paths reacted differently to each person.When Kai stepped on the golden path, it glowed brighter—until his fear made it flicker.
When Yuki placed one foot on the darker path, red sparks danced around her—but instead of pulling her in, they shaped symbols that seemed to guide her.
Tayo studied it. "The paths aren't judging us… they're reflecting us."
Mira nodded. "So neither is good or bad. It's just who we are right now."
Finally, each of them stepped forward—taking their first step.
The paths twisted and merged, forming one glowing bridge.
The message changed:
"Every child carries both light and shadow.The path reveals who you are,not who you must be."
The Real Test
The bridge led them to a cavern with floating mirrors.Each mirror showed a moment where they had to choose:
Kai: saw his reckless moment when he caused trouble at school.
Mira: saw when she stayed silent while her friend was bullied.
Lina: saw the time she lied to avoid hurting someone's feelings.
Tayo: saw when he hid behind logic to avoid comforting someone.
Yuki: saw when she kept her emotions bottled up.
Eren: saw when he quit something because he doubted himself.
Sera: saw when she ignored her own feelings to help others.
Amira: saw when she acted tough to hide her fear.
Each mirror whispered:
"Who you are is shaped by the steps you choose next."
They touched the mirrors together.The cavern exploded into light.
The Angel and the Demon
A final figure appeared—neither frightening nor holy—half shadow, half light.
"I am the choice inside every child," the figure said.
"you are not angels.
you are not demons.
You are both—because you are human."
The figure pointed to the exit.
"Your first step showed your truth.
Your next steps will shape your future."
The eight friends walked out together.
Epilogue
Back in the village, the stone door vanished.No one would ever believe the story.
But the eight of them knew something important:
