Prólogo

"Are you telling me there's no salvation for my people?"

Slamming her fist on the table that formed part of her space as a councilor in the kingdom, she demonstrated her anger to the other powerful beings who accompanied her.

"Three centuries have passed since they decided to condemn the elves to mechanical bodies. Since then, our lives have decayed into the mediocrity and boring routine of immortality, incapable of feeling."

Her words echoed throughout the palace, impacting a single presence.

"What do you propose, Princess of the Mechanical Elves?"

The answer she awaited arrived.

"Engineers, together with ancient physicians, can bring a body back to life. We can create life from scratch, without harming other races, only our own spirit."

Distraught, Princess Elisan awaited confirmation for her project.

"And what if the new successors of your race do the same thing you did three hundred years ago?" What will you do, princess of the elves?

"Would you be capable of controlling hundreds of beings who, on a mere whim, would destroy an entire nation?"

"Who can guarantee that this act isn't a cover-up for the elves' true intentions?"

"Are you perhaps a god, lady of mechanical elves?"

The voices came from all directions, yielding a single result that did nothing to advance the princess's objectives.

"I understand your words, gentlemen. I have nothing more to say," she said as she stepped back from her place at the table.

It certainly wasn't the first time she had accepted rejection from the kingdom's council. However, it would be the last, for the people she sought to protect could no longer endure subjugation.

"I hope that in time they will be able to forgive us," she said, delivering her final message as she left the room, and subsequently the palace.
