The comings and goings between people are something no one can truly understand.
At the very least, Wen Ran couldn't understand it. Because of this, she cherished the present moments even more, enjoying each hard-earned day.
Before Wen Ran could indulge for long, the howling of the head wolf echoed from inside the room.
Wen Ran: "!!!"
She almost forgot about this living ancestor.
She closed the door and scampered back to the storage room, quickly grabbing the wolf's muzzle. "Shh! Don't make such a commotion. Close your mouth. If anyone finds out you're here, they'll turn you into sliced wolf meat."
The head wolf: "..."
It stuck out its tongue to lick its mouth. It felt its injuries healing, but its stomach was hungry.
Wen Ran weirdly understood what the head wolf wanted to convey. She took out a wild boar from her space, placed it to the side, and then went off to mind her own business.
