"Afterwards, the remaining veterans pulled out nine enemy corpses from the cave. Good heavens, all killed by the grenades thrown by the commander!"
"Alright, alright, no need to go into detail about me."
With a dull voice, Zhao Yimeng said: "Compared to Liang Erxi, Wang Wenxi, Xiaobeiping, and Xiaojin, what am I?"
"I am nothing but a coward carried to the battlefield by the commander and comrades!"
After pausing for a moment, Zhao Yimeng continued: "However, what affects me even more is what happened after the war ended, let me continue the story."
——
Our second company fought just this one battle in the war.
At that time, with blood boiling, I went into the enemy's den clutching grenades.
The inside of the cave was pitch-black, and I couldn't see anything.
I walked forward relying on instinct, not knowing how long I had been walking when I felt some movement ahead.
The enemy also heard my footsteps, and immediately there was a burst of gunfire. Luckily, none of it hit me.
