Lance didn't answer Henry's laugh.
He didn't have the energy to fake anything.
He held the phone between his shoulder and ear as he poured the soup into a bowl, hands shaking slightly.
"…I was in the shower…" he lied.
It wasn't even a good lie.
It just slipped out.
"Well.." Henry hummed, tone playful, "you sound like hell. Rough day?"
Lance closed his eyes.
Understatement of the century.
"Something like that.." he muttered.
Henry clicked his tongue sympathetically "I'll be back soon. Gonna bury mum here in Canada and I just found out Hayden's engaged, he brought his fiance around. I still can't fathom how he bagged Sawyer Giovanni.."

Lance raised a brow, Hayden's fiance was THE Sawyer Giovanni?! How?!! Compared to Henry, Hayden had fire looks but still to bag a beauty like Sawyer Giovanni, can only be a miracle.
