Uchiha Feiyu's chakra eruption didn't just make Kakashi gape and complain—it also alerted the Iwagakure forces stationed at the Kannabi Bridge camp.
In truth, any shinobi had some degree of chakra perception.
It's just that when chakra is tightly suppressed, ordinary ninja can't sense it at all.
But when a ninja releases their chakra—especially someone like Feiyu, whose reserves were absurdly massive—then even an Academy student who'd only just awakened chakra could feel it.
It was like the sky collapsing.
Almost instantly, the Iwa outpost fell into chaos.
Ten jōnin didn't waste a single word. They burst out of the camp at once, faces tense and guarded as they stared in Feiyu's direction.
Feiyu folded his arms and shot Kakashi a glance.
"I'm going to collect some Iwa heads. You stay here and don't move."
The moment the words fell, dense and purified Yin Release chakra surged around Feiyu and took form.
First came the skeleton.
Then muscle.
And finally—amid faint crackling lightning—a towering chakra giant appeared atop the hillside, clad in a coat of lightning and holding a long sword.
A chakra colossus twenty to thirty meters tall.
Susanoo.
The Uchiha clan's Mangekyō Sharingan's most iconic and most "orthodox" technique.
Feiyu's eyes still showed only the three tomoe pattern—but in raw ocular power, they were beyond even an Eternal Mangekyō's level.
The only reason the Mangekyō design didn't appear was because Feiyu walked a path of atavistic return—a "reversion to origin" route—so the pattern never manifested outwardly.
Residual sword pressure howled forward and slammed into Kannabi Bridge.
The bridge let out a pained, creaking groan.
CRRRAAACK—CRRNNNK—
Then it collapsed, breaking into countless fragments that scattered like shattered bone.
"Good. Mission complete," Kakashi muttered under his breath.
"…even though it had nothing to do with my effort."
His voice was low, and he was far away beneath the Susanoo.
But Feiyu's evolved body had senses pushed to an extreme—he heard Kakashi's muttering clearly anyway.
"Careful! He's coming!" an Iwa jōnin roared. "Use a combined defense technique!"
Kakashi swallowed, staring up at the chakra giant, and couldn't help whispering:
"I really don't want a lecture about how amazing the Sharingan is right now… I just want to know how your eye level jumped this fast."
Feiyu let out a small laugh.
"Calm down, Kakashi. This is basic."
"Once the Sharingan surpasses the three-tomoe limit, it awakens bloodline ninjutsu sleeping in the eyes."
"Each eye can manifest a different unique technique. Since the awakened abilities vary wildly—and the patterns beyond three tomoe also vary without any fixed rule—those eyes are called the Mangekyō Sharingan."
"And when both eyes are used together, you gain the Mangekyō's guaranteed technique…"
"…Susanoo."
Of course, Feiyu was deliberately holding back.
A twenty-to-thirty-meter Susanoo sat right at the upper limit of a normal Mangekyō user—flashy, overwhelming, but not so extreme it would spook certain observers watching from the shadows.
Feiyu thought he was being perfectly reasonable.
To Kakashi, it was monstrous.
Feiyu smiled faintly. The Susanoo's sword flashed with pale light—and then swung straight down.
A terrifying blade-wind erupted, sharp enough to peel the air open.
Feiyu had refined Hashirama's cells for a long time now, until his "Sage Body" was nearly indistinguishable from Hashirama's—if not stronger in some ways due to the Devouring Heaven Demonic Art.
If he truly went all out, he could probably manifest something on the scale of Madara's two-hundred-meter Susanoo.
Kakashi's eyes widened as he watched.
"That's… White Fang sword style—Wind Slash!"
"So Susanoo can stack White Fang sword techniques too?!"
He couldn't see Feiyu's eyes from where he stood, so he assumed Feiyu had awakened the Mangekyō.
In a sense, he wasn't wrong—Feiyu's eyes were essentially Eternal Mangekyō-grade.
Feiyu didn't bother responding to Kakashi's disbelief.
With a flick of his hand, the Susanoo surged forward, sword raised, charging the Iwa jōnin below.
The Iwa squad moved immediately, each extracting chakra and casting large-scale techniques in unison.
"Earth Release—Ten-Thousand-Li Earthen Flood!"
A river of churning mud and stone erupted like a tidal wave, swallowing the hillside as it surged toward Feiyu.
On the slope, Kakashi stared as the mud-flood was split cleanly apart by a single slash.
The sword pressure rose like a roaring dragon.
After carving through their combined technique, the strike didn't stop—it cleaved straight through the Iwa outpost itself, slicing the entire camp into two.
Kakashi finally couldn't hold it in.
"You bastard… when did you learn a jutsu like this?!"
"You used to train White Fang sword style all the time—so this is the Sharingan's power?!"
He hesitated for half a heartbeat, then sighed dramatically and drew his White Fang short blade anyway.
"Should I… pretend to help?"
"Just so I'm not a complete leg-hugging accessory here?"
But even as he complained, his posture made it obvious—this was mostly for show.
With a monster like Feiyu here, Kakashi didn't believe he'd get the chance to do anything meaningful.
And reality proved him right.
By the time Kakashi started strolling down the hill, Feiyu's Susanoo had already begun cutting through Iwa's jōnin like wheat.
"Earth Release—Earth Wall!"
CRACK—
The stone wall was split in half by a descending chakra blade.
As the wall slid apart, it revealed the jōnin behind it—face frozen in terror—
and then blood sprayed.
He fell in two pieces.
"Earth Release—Hiding Like a Mole!"
BOOM!
The Susanoo stomped down.
The ground shuddered violently, dark red spreading through the soil.
The shinobi beneath had been crushed into pulp by sheer pressure.
"Earth Release—Earth Spear!"
A shinobi's entire body darkened as he hardened himself with Earth Release.
The Susanoo simply grabbed him—
and squeezed.
CRUNCH—
He didn't even have time to scream before he was crushed into a bloody paste.
The Susanoo didn't need fancy moves.
It was just ordinary sword swings, stomps, and fists—
and the Iwa forces couldn't withstand it at all.
By the time Kakashi reached the bottom of the hill, every Iwa ninja was dead.
The battlefield looked like it had been plowed over.
The Iwa outpost was rubble.
And the Kannabi Bridge—what little remained—had been erased so completely that not even a single support pillar was left.
The massive Susanoo faded away, revealing Feiyu once more.
Then Feiyu's gaze shifted—locking onto the distant forest.
His sensory perception caught something strange there.
A "soul" far more active than an animal's, yet less nimble than a human's—
and carrying a faint, plant-like quality.
"White Zetsu…" Feiyu murmured. "So it really is nearby…"
For a moment, he was tempted.
If he marked that White Zetsu with Flying Thunder God, then when it returned to Madara's hideout—
Feiyu could teleport in and "send warmth" to the old man living underground.
But after a brief thought, Feiyu suppressed the impulse.
Madara wasn't an idiot.
White Zetsu was far weaker than a Mangekyō-level Uchiha; if Zetsu got noticed, it basically couldn't escape.
And once it happened, Madara would immediately realize what it meant:
Someone was fishing with a long line.
A disposable pawn like White Zetsu would simply be abandoned.
Madara's arrogance was real—
but so was his patience and caution.
After all, a man who could squat underground for decades was not lacking in restraint.
"Fine," Feiyu decided. "Let it go tell Madara."
"Hopefully that 'Uchiha ancestor' takes the bait."
While Feiyu was thinking, Kakashi walked up beside him, face full of disbelief as he stared at the ruined battlefield.
"Just how strong are you now?"
"You used a Susanoo that insane… and you could still layer White Fang sword style through it."
Feiyu answered casually.
"Susanoo is basically a ninjutsu amplifier. Not just White Fang sword style—using actual ninjutsu through it is possible too."
"Though most Mangekyō users can't do what I do."
"And Susanoo using White Fang sword style is only 'shape'—an empty shell."
"The essence of White Fang sword style is high-speed taijutsu."
"Susanoo isn't a human body. It can't do things like using Lightning Release to stimulate the flesh and boost nerve response and physical speed."
After giving Kakashi a brief explanation, Feiyu asked:
"Now that the supply route here is cut… do you think Iwa will retreat?"
Kakashi shook his head.
"Not a chance."
"The war's dragged this long. Iwa's lost plenty, sure."
"But compared to Konoha? Their losses are nothing."
"Their troops are basically double ours—and most of them are prime-age shinobi."
"Konoha's short on manpower, and on top of that, one or two out of every ten are kids under fourteen."
"If Minato-sensei's Flying Thunder God wasn't so absurd…"
"Konoha would've been finished already."
Feiyu folded his arms, tone mildly amused.
"Should you be saying that, Kakashi? You're still a Leaf ninja."
Kakashi smiled faintly, completely unconcerned.
"Doesn't matter."
"Just like you back then—so long as I'm not trying to enter the higher ranks, with my talent and strength, nobody's going to condemn me for a couple complaints."
"Honestly, I just can't live as 'unattached' as you do."
"If I could, and the village kept assigning me suicidal missions…"
"I'd want to refuse them outright."
Feiyu stared at him for a second.
Kakashi had always looked "lazy" later in life, but this version was starting to become genuinely lazy—an actual salted fish.
Feiyu couldn't deny it.
His influence on Kakashi was clearly enormous.
Feiyu was almost certain: if Minato weren't the commander here, Kakashi would lie flatter than Feiyu ever had.
Feiyu had been cautious—yes—
but he'd also liked "bullying the weak" because of the demonic inheritance book.
He'd slaughtered enemy villages' lower ranks so efficiently that multiple nations had listed him as a thorn in their side.
Kakashi, even if he'd become lazier, wouldn't develop that habit.
He'd probably just pick a strong jōnin to "spar" with, muddle through the battlefield, and only step in when a teammate he cared about was in danger.
"Tch." Feiyu clicked his tongue. "You're not worried Konoha will lose completely? Get flattened by the other villages?"
Kakashi's expression stayed calm—almost detached, like someone who'd already accepted the logic of the world.
"Konoha might lose."
"It might suffer huge losses."
"It might lose the title of the strongest village."
"But no matter what, the structure of the Five Great Villages probably won't change."
He continued evenly:
"The Five Great Nations and Five Great Villages are bound together in a complicated balance."
"Because every village that holds a tailed beast theoretically has the power to destroy another village…"
"as long as the leaders have even a little rationality, they won't push an enemy to the absolute limit."
"And there's another point."
"Konoha attracts the most hostility."
"But just like Konoha would face the entire shinobi world's hatred if it tried to erase another great village…"
"any village that tried to swallow Konoha would be attacked by the others."
If any one village absorbed Konoha, its strength would skyrocket.
Give it another ten years, and it might become strong enough to wipe out the rest.
To prevent a single dominant superpower, the other villages would never allow one side to devour Konoha.
As for all villages "sharing" Konoha and the Land of Fire?
Even more impossible.
Because the remaining villages weren't equal. In the end, the strong would take more.
Smaller villages with any long-term vision would never allow Konoha to fall completely.
Feiyu couldn't help but remark:
"Kakashi… your perspective's widened."
"You can even see international balance like this."
And honestly—
Kakashi wasn't wrong.
The fact that multiple ninja wars had ended without a single great nation being erased was proof enough.
