Evelyn snapped back to reality; it turned out that Caden Lockwood was referring to her bet on the forum about winning a scholarship at the end of the term.
"I guess so..." Her answer wasn't all that confident, "I'll try my best!"
"Because of me, you've got quite a few rivals at school, and there's even a post saying they'll fight you for the scholarship to embarrass you." Caden said in a deep voice, "If you lose, your reputation will be completely ruined."
Evelyn pouted and mumbled, "You do know it's because of you!"
Caden raised an eyebrow and asked, "Don't you want to win?"
"Of course I do!" Evelyn raised her voice, "But... I can't exactly steal the test papers or bribe the principal to help me cheat, right?"
Suddenly, as if she remembered something, she looked at Caden in surprise and said, "You weren't planning on doing that, were you?"
