December passed by slowly yet steadily, and half of it was gone already. The streets were thick with the aroma of roasted sweet potatoes and candied chestnuts, and even the scent of fried rice cakes was starting to emerge.
The food street was bustling, filled with warmth and cheer. The calls of candied hawthorn vendors gradually grew louder, accompanied by the hawking of street peddlers one after another.
"Though it's still quite a while from now, I feel like I can sense the atmosphere of the new year."
