Seeing her so guilty and upset, crying so heartbreakingly, Damian Sinclair only felt heartache.
Bella Acker cried until she was out of breath, sobbing and burying her head in his embrace, muffled, "Did you want me to always misunderstand you?"
"If it means you won't be sad, I'd rather you misunderstand me," Damian Sinclair gently caressed her back to soothe her.
"Don't you know that misunderstandings accumulate and become impossible to unravel?" Bella Acker cried, "I admit I used to be weak, with you always protecting me. But it's different now; you don't have to protect me like this anymore. I can bear everything with you together."
"Okay, from now on, no matter what happens, I'll discuss it with you and won't hide anything. Is it okay to stop crying now?" Damian Sinclair reached out to pat her, saying, "I just took a shower, and now I'm covered in your tears. I'll have to shower again later."
Is this the time to be concerned about having to shower again?
