Rhys Blackwood's tail slowly tightened, the icy touch made her shiver uncontrollably, and the tip of the tail brushed lightly against her waist, carrying a hint of provocation.
"What, scared now?"
Rhys's voice was deep, carrying a touch of mockery.
Luna Sutton braced herself, feigning calm, "Who, who said I'm scared? It's just a tail, what's there to be afraid of!"
She took a deep breath, her fingers gently gliding down the tail's patterns, her fingertips touching the smooth, cold scales.
Rhys's body stiffened, his eyes deep and abyss-like, as if they could swallow her.
Her heart skipped a beat, silently exclaiming, indeed, the snake beast's tail is a danger zone.
Her hand instinctively wanted to retract.
But doing so seemed too timid, so she could only brace herself and continue.
She pretended to be relaxed, her fingertips gently pinching the tip of the tail.
Rhys's eyes grew darker, black as ink.
