Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Spring Heart Met Instant Demise

Sierra Summers was carried on her brother's back, and hearing him standing up for her, she smiled triumphantly. Her dimples were sweet and intoxicating. "Brother, let's go back quickly, we need to take care of this. I don't want a scar!"

"Alright, alright, I promise you won't have a scar."

Meanwhile, the four anxious girls exchanged uneasy looks, nervously hoping that Ethan Summers was merely giving them a warning.

But it wasn't long before their parents called, bombarding them with scolding after scolding, plunging them into despair.

After being reprimanded for nearly half an hour and being ordered to go home immediately, they realized this matter was far from over, as their family business relied on the Summers Family. They felt both tearful and resentful that Sierra had inexplicably become the Summers Family's young lady, and they directed their anger at Gianna Cole, blaming her for unknowingly causing such trouble.

The girls began to argue and accuse each other, soon descending into a shouting match and physical tussle like fishwives, eventually being thrown out by the club.

Utterly humiliated, the four had no choice but to slink home.

Summers Family.

After the family doctor treated her wound, Sierra Summers casually started a conversation, "Brother, by the way, today I heard those people mention a name that seemed quite impressive."

"What's it called... Caleb Sterling?"

Ethan Summers placed the freshly brewed milk tea in front of Sierra and paused upon hearing the name, "Why are you curious about this? Cecilia, in the business world, Caleb Sterling is indeed a genius."

"But as a partner, Cecilia, he's not a good man." Ethan Summers advised sincerely. He was all too aware of Caleb Sterling's alluring looks that attracted attention and yet how seemingly disinterested he was in women; in all these years, there hadn't been a single woman by his side.

To be honest, Ethan Summers suspected Caleb Sterling might have some issues in certain aspects.

He absolutely couldn't let his own sister meet Caleb Sterling!

Vaguely beginning to worry about his beloved sister being caught up, Ethan didn't realize that she had just run into the pig herself.

Sierra Summers nodded like a pecking chick, "Oh," she exclaimed, seeing her brother's satisfied expression, "Got it, got it, so is he better than you? I think you're the best!"

Flattered by his sister's compliments, Ethan Summers raised an eyebrow, clearly pleased.

So Ethan Summers went on to brief his sister on most people in their circle.

Including Caleb Sterling.

Sierra Summers appeared to be listening attentively, but in reality, she only absorbed the bare minimum about others, keeping her focus mainly on "Caleb Sterling."

After Ethan Summers finished, Sierra Summers drank her tea and chatted with her brother for a bit before excusing herself to her room, claiming she felt a bit tired.

Once the door was shut.

Sierra Summers instantly pulled out her phone and started searching for the name she had just learned: Caleb Sterling.

She even sat down right on the floor, given that the entire room was carpeted.

Her eyes fixed straight on the scant information she found online: Caleb Sterling, President of Sterling Group, 28 years old, male, unmarried, worth billions, known for his sharp business acumen and exceptional abilities.

Sierra Summers lingered for two extra seconds on the word "unmarried."

She continued reading: his ideal type is a glamorous and sexy domineering older woman, mature and steadfast.

Seeing this, Sierra's burgeoning springtime feelings shattered with a "crack."

Though it might be that she was infatuated at first sight with Caleb Sterling's face, voice, hands, fashion sense, and aura, causing her heart, untouched for nineteen years, to overflow, she couldn't deny that these were what made up Caleb Sterling!

So, in summary, after being brought back by her biological parents at nineteen to become a rich family's young lady, facing social suicide in front of top business figures, and then falling for someone whose type she completely wasn't, Sierra's newfound budding romantic feelings had died a sudden death.
