During the five days apart between Kystral and Valoria, Claire Prescott called him every night.
Sometimes they didn't say anything at all, just left their phones aside. She studied medical books, while Keane Lowell worked on his tasks, each busy with their own things, not disturbing each other.
The night before returning to Kystral, Claire held back her excitement, debating whether to tell him she was returning the next day or to give him a surprise.
