Chapter 24 - The Green’s Daughter Part 1

Hello everyone how's it going?

I've been trying to work things out on my end but life's been a little hard lately. Honestly, I've even been considering starting a Patreon for my writing but I'm not even sure where to start.

Anyway today's song is Poison Ivy by Tory Lanez

Ivy had never liked people. Perhaps it was the fact that she had borderline personality disorder. She, however, liked to think it was the fact that other people were narcissistic, destructive, selfish, assholes, with no regard for anyof the other natural life around them.

Harley had given her the diagnosis before she'd gone off the deep end, and for that mad laughing cunt.

If she remembered correctly her exact words were that Ivy was " a classic misanthrope with abandonment issues who befriends plants to avoid human intimacy" as if that was a level of crazy anywhere on par with the doctor herself.

After all, who the hell could manage to fall in love with a crazy bastard like the purple and green monster Harley was attached to?

Especially when there were so many other options. Others who could treat her better, others who could show her just how special, wonderful, and beautiful she truly was, or whatever.

Not that Ivy hadn't had some crazy exes herself before. After all, dating Two Face hadn't gone so well but it seemed like a good idea at the time. She'd broken up with him for a reason though. A situation Harley had helped her with when it was at its worst, and now Ivy wanted to do the same for her cute clown companion.

All Ivy truly wanted was for her best friend to be happy, sorta healthy, and definitely loved. She would add sane to that list but she was fairly certain that was no longer on the table in any regard. Not where she was now, but if that was Harley's choice and if her best friend refused to change then all Ivy could do was support her and wait for her to be ready… right?

But that was enough pondering the past for this morning. For now, Ivy finally woke up from the point of sleep where there was only confusion and memories of regret. Unfurling from the giant red heamanthus she was sleeping in and was greeted by the delicious amount of sunlight that coated her skin.

Gotham was typically covered in clouds no doubt due to being a small series of islands on the Atlantic. Although the abundance of rain was nutritious for her plants the lack of sun was almost just as harmful as the rain was beneficial.

Luckily for her last night she'd been able to take over the gardens around midnight and anyone who tried to stop her had been mind-controlled with a kiss or fed to her babies.

Now she simply basked in the sunlight of her new home drinking coffee and eating a few stolen steaks while planning her revenge on Gotham and all of humanity for what it had done to Green. Everything seemed normal when suddenly another presence appeared in her garden.

A small group of people had touched the grass but more than that one of them was special. So special in fact she barely pondered the sudden appearance of the group and how the hell that managed to make it this far without any of her plants warning her.

The first two presences were normal one of them vaguely familiar even but the third. Ivy couldn't exactly see through her plants as much as she could feel and communicate with them. But the third was something else entirely.

Even the animals she'd mostly left alone ran towards it. That presence small yet so intensely powerful was beloved by the green. More than that it was growing closer, natural energy was gathering and twisting around him.

She stepped over to a nearby tree attempting to learn more about the strange presence. It wasn't just that the green liked it, no even she was drawn to whatever that presence was.

She wasn't sure if it was the case but if the strange being could cloud her judgment then she needed to find a way to gain clarity. She didn't find anything though, the being was simply loved by the green. At first her guard was up but as the presence got closer and closer her guard lowered and she decided to welcome in the three.

Besides she'd figured out at least one of them was Selina by this point so it only made sense. The other person was some woman who Ivy reckoned wouldn't be too much of a threat. The unique presence her babies had been calling the 'Son of Nature' was clearly very young as well.

She had a habit of going around completely naked when alone and at least covered her more basic private areas around others. She didn't like clothes considering they were often made with the dead remains of plant life butchered by humanity but she knew it wasn't the best idea to go around naked in front of a little kid. So instead she coalesced her children about her body.

Her figure was perfect now a benefit of being part plant part human was that her own body was basically entirely under her own control. So why not make herself as beautiful as possible? Besides, seduction was one of her most useful tools, frequently used to her advantage in more ways than she could count.

So she decided to retain a slight bit of appeal but not enough to seem completely inappropriate. When she finished forging the leaves she strode her way to the center area of her new garden and sent a few of her new servants to greet the approaching party.

Manifesting a comfortable giant throne of flowers and leaves and sitting like the queen she was she waited for the group to arrive. The three of them arrived simultaneously but the first to step forward was her old friend Selina. But she ignored her feline friend for a moment and her strange pale companion who oddly reminded her of Harley and the third one.

He was particularly attractive to her as if the moment she saw him she began to hyperfocus on him. She understood now why her babies revered him, why they loved him so, why the green seemed to celebrate his presence.

His hair was white as were his eyes only they had slit pupils black as night and his skin was brown like a tree's bark but far smoother and more beautiful. His features were youthful, cute, handsome, and beautiful all at once. He'd be quite the lady killer once he was grown but he looked to be no older than 10 for now.

But then something else happened, something she'd never felt or experienced before occurred. In he minds e ye the green sent her a direct image of someone. It was mostly just a silhouette, the muscular and shadowy back of some strange figure. It held still shadows all about him completely nude in the darkness. Her eyes raced up from his feet to his face with primal hunger. The shadows hid most of his lower half but the darkness left no doubt that the figure was male, and the most well-endowed male she'd ever seen in real life or online. But more than that was the draw pulled her gaze up across her back and too he's turning head which gazed back at her with pale glowing light. It shifted from humbling predatory white with slit pupils to an explosive green that consumed her.

Then she broke from the vision just as soon as it began not even a moment of real time having passed but more than that she noticed something that made her a little uncomfortable. Between her legs which had been rubbing together, she could feel worrying wetness that luckily hadn't seeped through her outfit.

She kept a straight face not wanting anything to give away her strange reaction but pollen had started to fill the air around her something she intentionally started to mitigate with a stretch of her will through the green's energy field.

Ivy looked back to Selina, she hadn't moved from her spot. That confirmed it, not even a single moment had passed between the vision and the arrival of her guests.

"Heya Ivy, long time no see," She said with a casual smirk a few of the forest's cats coiled about her feet. Her blonde friend seemed nervous twirling a finger about a single dark streak in her hair. She tried not to linger too much on the son of nature but the longer she looked at him the more she felt drawn towards him.

"Long time indeed Selina. It's good to see you but what exactly are you doing here?" The plant milf-ahem I mean mommy-ahem I mean maiden said as she stared down at us. She seemed to ignore Holly almost entirely and judging from the blonde's pale features she seemed content to remain silent. To be fair Holly is always pale though so it's nothing new.

But although I noticed Holly's state I was much more raptured by the woman sitting before us. She sat atop a throne of countless flowers and intricate leaves. But the thing that almost stunned me into silence wasn't the flaming red hair or the piercing green eyes which hadn't left me since the moment Selina had spoken. It was the fact that Ivy didn't have green skin. Rather this version of her was still pale and human-looking. Frankly, I was disappointed nearly to tears. Unfortunately, I wasn't shocked into silence instead I stumbled out the dumbest words I think I've ever said.

"You're… not green?" I asked in a strange staccato stutter that mimicked the form of words.

'Great very intelligent question Kairo. Stellar first impression.' I thought to myself as Ivy smiled at me. She chuckled with mirth and answered my silly question.

"I'm only green sometimes darling," She smiled stepping closer to me, ruffling my hair and gazing down at me. I stared into her green eyes she stared back into my slit whites. On instinct, I activated bloom and a strange sensation of emotions seemed to flood into me. It was hard to tell if this was how I felt or if it was how she felt or both.

One thing I do recognize though is that in this life at least. The woman standing before me now was definitely my first crush. She brushed a hand against my cheek which felt warmer than usual and she bent down towards me licking her supple red lips.

Selina and Holly gasped out something and Selina went to reach for us but Ivy just pressed a quick kiss to my forehead before standing back up. I breathed in her scent for a moment, it was a pleasant mix of natural, fruity, and flowery scents, all of them incredibly appealing. Poison factory of course could protect me from any toxin or poison lacing her lips but I doubt that was her intention after all there are much easier ways to kill us all.

Stepping back Ivy turned to Selina and hugged her before pressing a kiss to her cheek and giving Holly a polite wave.

"It's nice to see you again Selina come on in let's talk business," She said, swirling around in a stir of flower petals and flowery perfumes. She sashayed away and my eyes couldn't help but follow the swaying of her hips. There was something odd about her and it was more than her being part plant, or maybe that was exactly it. For some reason, I felt drawn to her but I was almost certain it wasn't the kiss that did it.

Instead, there was some odd sensation in the energy field I could sense with Bloom that seemed to be trying to connect us. I glanced at my two companions who looked at each other and then at me with the same odd gaze before each of us nodded and followed Ivy.

Sorry for the rather short chapter to be honest at one point when I was writing I started feeling sick and my heart wasn't in it. I think it might be a side effect of some new medication my doctor prescribed me.

So if it wasn't clear Nature's child is affecting Ivy in some strange ways that combined with Pretty Up and Bloom along with his innate features has had some odd results. For example, she initially has her guard up only to almost immediately drop it in advance. She's attracted to Kai despite barely knowing him and other such details.

More importantly, though it seems the green itself has sent her a vision of something. I wonder why?

There was a reference to Batman: The Animated Series in this chapter. If anyone can guess it I'll take any opinion you have under consideration but you have to comment it in the paragraph comments.
