Chapter 11 - chapter 11(The First Test — Reflexes)

Without warning—

Ra's flicked his hand, sending a small metal needle flying toward my face.

Fast.

Too fast for normal eyes.

Talia didn't move.

Neither did the guards.

They wanted to see what I'd do.

I didn't think.

My body simply moved.

My hand snapped up.

Clink.

The needle landed in my palm.

Perfect catch.

Ra's stared.

Talia exhaled silently — pride and relief mixed.

The guards exchanged terrified glances.

I opened my hand and looked at the needle calmly, as though it were a toy I found interesting.

Ra's' lips curved slightly.

"A one-year-old catches projectiles."

"A newborn with awareness."

"A toddler with the instincts of a fighter."

His eyes gleamed.

"A miracle… or a threat

Ra's moved his hand again.

This time, he summoned killing intent.

A wave of pure hostility crashed over the room — enough to make elite assassins stiffen.

Enough to make most children scream.

But not me.

My heart raced — not from fear, but from instinct.

My muscles tensed.

My breathing slowed.

My body tried to analyze danger.

But my face?

Calm.

Unflinching.

I stared at him, tiny chest rising and falling steadily.

Ra's' killing intent thickened.

Still, I didn't break.

After a long silence, he withdrew the pressure.

"…He has the heart of a warrior."

Talia stepped closer to me, protective but proud.

"He is my son."

Ra's stood upright.

"No child of this age should have such composure."

He signaled one of his elite assassins.

"Test him."

Talia immediately stepped forward.

"Father—"

His hand lifted.

"The boy must be tested."

The assassin approached me slowly, cautiously.

He crouched, extending one hand in a harmless gesture… then moved abruptly,

reaching to grab me.

Too slow.

My baby body wobbled clumsily — but moved with purpose.

I leaned sideways, avoiding the grasp.

My arm swung reflexively — weak, untrained strength, but instinctively targeting the wrist, not the hand.

The assassin flinched.

Ra's raised an eyebrow.

"Again."

The assassin tried a different angle — a feint followed by a grab.

I backed away, stumbled, then rolled across the mat, escaping his reach entirely.

A perfect evasive motion — accidental yet effective.

Ra's began to laugh softly.

"A toddler performs evasive maneuvers… fascinating."

Talia smirked.

"He adapts."

"No," Ra's corrected, eyes gleaming with realization.

He remembers

Ra's al Ghul's Verdict

He knelt in front of me — the most dangerous man alive lowering himself to eye-level with a one-year-old.

"You are not ordinary."

I couldn't speak yet, but I met his gaze without fear.

He placed a hand on my shoulder — firm, cold, final.

"From this moment on, you will be watched."

I blinked.

"Not as a child," Ra's continued.

"But as a future heir."

Talia nodded proudly.

The assassins bowed.

And Ra's al Ghul delivered his final decree:

"Begin his training."

Alex's Thoughts

I was one year old.

Barely walking.

Barely talking.

Yet already evaluated as a weapon.

A leader.

A threat.

I looked at my tiny hands and clenched them gently.
