Chapter 292 - Chapter 292: The Fan Bone Tree Blooms

When Allen opened his eyes again, he couldn't help but stare blankly for a while, as if savoring what he had seen in his dream the previous day... Finally, he remembered to get up, parted the curtains, and looked out the window.

The bright sunlight illuminated Hogwarts brilliantly.

In this island nation surrounded by waves, weather like this was quite rare this month.

Dawn was the most beautiful time of the twenty-four hours; the morning sun rose simply from the east, then, adorned with magnificent clouds, cast a beautiful reddish hue.

Golden flames dazzled, stretching upwards and outwards, covering a large portion of the sky.

The cool breeze blowing through the window also helped to lift Allen's gloomy mood.

"Oh, damn! I woke up too late!" Allen noticed that Edward's bed was already empty.

Allen looked at the terribly wrinkled underwear and sheets and felt his cheeks flush for the first time.

Just then, in the silence, there was a sudden tapping at the door.

"Allen, are you there? Are you awake? What's going on?"

"He got up."

Penelope and Luna's voices echoed from outside the door!

Allen could clearly sense the anxiety in their voices.

"Damn it!" Wasn't he the one who should have been worried?

Allen quickly pulled out his wand and straightened the bed and clothes.

After making the bed as clean as usual, Allen hastily cast a cleansing spell on himself.

Allen examined his bed; he always felt something was wrong.

It was as if he wanted to tear the bed apart and destroy the evidence.

The banging sounds coming from outside became increasingly persistent.

Penelope's calls also became increasingly urgent.

"If I were the headmaster, I absolutely wouldn't allow girls into the boys' dorm." Allen's mind was filled with a jumble of thoughts.

Perhaps fearing that his embarrassing situation would be discovered by others, Allen felt a degree of helplessness for the first time in his life.

Just as Allen was about to go outside, he tripped over Edward's footstool, which was lying on the floor, and fell.

Allen found it hard to believe; it was just a stool, but it made a very loud noise!

Suddenly, startled shouts rose from outside, and then the bedroom door suddenly burst open; Allen saw the group of young wizards outside.

"Allen, are you alright?" Edward burst in noisily, the bedroom door gently opening and closing.

Michael, Penelope, and Luna followed right behind them.

When everyone saw Allen standing perfectly upright and then the stool lying overturned on the floor, they immediately realized something had gone wrong.

Allen greeted the four of them as if nothing had happened, tugging awkwardly at the corner of his lip, and said, "You all got up very early!"

Although Penelope was usually a calm and generous person, she couldn't help but feel a little flustered at this moment.

Luna looked at Allen with her large, pale silver eyes and suddenly said, "Fanbone flowers are blooming."

The other three stared at Luna in astonishment; what was this crazy girl suddenly talking about?

Allen tried to maintain a serious expression, but noticed the mocking look in Luna's eyes, and the corners of his lips involuntarily twitched.

He smiled helplessly at Luna in a strange way.

Luna raised her eyebrows and put on her Spectrespecs glasses, a gift from her father Xenophilius Lovegood from The Quibbler magazine, which made her look like a colorful, emotionally confused owl: "There's a lot of Wrackspurt in here." She immediately turned around and was the first to leave the bedroom.

"What exactly are these Wrackspurts he keeps talking about?" The others were even more baffled.

"Come on, let's hurry and go to breakfast." Allen's face flushed, and he urged them to leave quickly.

Penelope suddenly seemed to understand something, smiled sweetly, and quickly left the bedroom.

Edward and Michael looked at each other, their eyes filled with astonishment; they didn't understand what these girls were doing.

Allen, with a strange but polite smile, beckoned them both to quickly leave the bedroom.

When they arrived in the Great Hall, Allen was surprised to see Penelope taking Edward's place as he sat down. Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes sparkled, and she looked indescribably beautiful as she gazed at Allen.

Allen tried to compose himself, reaching for a piece of cheese as if nothing had happened, but his hand brushed against Penelope's.

Allen suddenly pulled his hand back and turned his head to the side, while Penelope, beside him, involuntarily giggled.

"The Quidditch final is very soon, but Cho Chang is refusing to be a Seeker anymore!" Michael's booming voice echoed, and the content of his words quickly brought Allen back to his senses.

"I heard Pansy seriously injured her face and is still recovering," Penelope shrugged, spreading ketchup on her sandwich.

"I've been trying for a long time to convince him that a good Seeker doesn't need a flawless appearance. But he can't overcome his own mental barrier," Roger slumped into the chair beside Allen, feeling helpless. "In fact, you can't even see the scars unless you look closely! Madam Pince said the discoloration would quickly fade if he got more sunlight... but he refuses to spend more time outside..."

"So, we need a new Seeker," Allen said calmly.

"With the great war approaching, we need a Seeker who can handle Cedric, Allen," Roger said, looking at Allen eagerly.

Allen quickly did the math, and a thought crossed his mind: This could be an opportunity.

Allen remembered a news story he'd seen while on vacation: Kane Rooney, a famous player for the Appleby Arrows, had killed someone in a fit of rage after gambling illegally and failing to pay his debts.

He also remembered the man who had been smoking a cigar on the pitch during the last match against Slytherin; that man was Geraldine Malthus, the head coach of the British Quidditch team.

Geraldine must have noticed Kane Rooney's unusual behavior a long time ago, and perhaps she was looking for a replacement back then.

Since it was absolutely impossible for Kane to compete in the Quidditch World Cup, it was highly likely that Geraldine would return to Hogwarts to watch the match and scout for talent.

"Alright, I'll be the Seeker," Allen's gaze was determined.

Success belongs to those who are prepared; recognizing the opportunity, he couldn't let it slip away.

Allen had inwardly decided that even if Geraldine wanted to choose a senior student nearing graduation, he would absolutely convince her that he was the most suitable and irreplaceable candidate.

"Fantastic! With you as Seeker, the Quidditch Cup will definitely be ours!" Roger leaped excitedly from his stool; he couldn't wait to choose the right Beaters.

Five minutes later, as she left the Ravenclaw table and walked towards the Quidditch pitch, all the Ravenclaws had heard the news.

The auditions lasted almost the entire morning.

Half of the Ravenclaw students came through the ranks, from first to seventh grade.

First-grade students clutched a few worn-out brooms they'd snatched from the school storage, while seventh-grade students, tall and imposing, stood out from the crowd, presenting a rather intimidating presence.

Regardless of their class, the young wizards seemed thrilled, boasting about their flying experiences, and the heroes in these flying tales were more extraordinary than the last.
