~TESSA'S POV~
The sun was too bright, too warm, too… boring.
I sprawled on the couch, staring at the ceiling like it had offended me. "I'm losing my mind," I muttered.
My wolf yawned inside me. Then do something.
"Like what?" I groaned loudly. "I've cleaned, trained, slept, paced, and fought with my pillows. I need to get out."
My gaze landed on my phone.
"Sophie," I whispered dramatically as if the name alone could save me from the misery of staying home one more second.
I grabbed the phone and dialed her. She picked on the second ring.
"Tessa, if you call me to complain again…"
"I'm bored!" I cut in.
She snorted. "You called to complain again."
"I'm dying," I insisted.
"You're a wolf. You can't die from boredom."
"I'll be the first," I declared. "Come out. Let's go do something fun."
Sophie hummed thoughtfully. "What kind of fun?"
"Something wolf-worthy," I said quickly. "Running. Climbing. Hunting a deer…"
"We're not eating raw deer again," she warned.
