Kana barely managed to swallow the bite before her body betrayed her.
She staggered back, one hand braced against the table as she coughed violently. Her breathing turned uneven, shallow. Whatever composure she had tried to maintain shattered in seconds.
I did not move to help her and simply watched as she fought her own stomach. After all, she was just getting a dose of her own medicine.
When she finally stopped gagging, she looked up at me with glassy eyes.
"That's enough. My point has been proven. You don't need to come back here ever again."
I said flatly.
Her expression froze.
"…What? B-Boss wait-! I can change and do better. Please, just give me a chanc…"
She asked, disbelief bleeding into her voice.
"You heard me. Pack your things and leave. You're done."
For a moment, she just stared. Then something ugly twisted across her face. The fear drained away, replaced by irritation.
