Damian was taking his time working on the files and messaging on his phone and I felt bad for Kana who was waiting for a verdict.
So I decided to take a bite before Damian was finished.
There was a slight sour taste but it was quickly overpowered by the spices in the dishes that left my tongue feeling numb. My spice tolerance was not high, so the food certainly packed a punch.
Still, I forced myself to eat a little more before I turned to look at Kana.
"This is good. It's a little spicy but nothing I cannot handle. But maybe you can make something more…mild…in the future?"
I told her, even though my stomach had started to kill me. I kept smiling through the pain, hoping that she would take the hint.
Kana's eyes widened as she looked at me and quickly apologized.
"Ah, I-I am sorry. I did not know that you had no spice tolerance. Master Damian is well-known for his love of spice and such, so I wanted to prepare dishes according to his taste. I will be extra careful next time."
