Rose's pov
'Ugh, this place is just as bad as when I first walked in. Why did I have to be so gracious and kind as to visit a criminal of all people? Is there truly anyone as kind as me?'
I looked at the pitiful person sitting in front of me. Miss Anabella had been a respectful figure in high society just recently, but now she was like a wilted flower that could not even raise her head.
Truly, how the mighty have fallen so low.
"M-Miss Rose, you are finally here? Are you going to help me out? T-The guards tell me that I have a death penalty waiting for me. But you p-promised to save me, right? All I ever did was help you and do as you asked me to…."
Anabella tugged at Rose's skirt as she asked this. Her eyes were filled with hope and longing as she looked at Rose for help.
But all Rose felt was annoyance and irritation at being touched.
