Chapter 69 - Birth of the Heatfrost Vyuha

‎Solar Clone didn't stop with just two separate circles.

‎He rewrote the lines on the stone so that Flameforge Vyuha and FrostforgeVyuha sat like twin gears, their edges touching and their channels linked.

‎Between them he added a narrow transition ring, a buffer zone that slowly shifted someone from hot to cold or cold to hot instead of shocking the body instantly.

‎When Flameforge was active, the formation would heat the ring first, then gradually push that warmth inward while Frostforge stayed dormant.

‎At his command, the flow would reverse: Flameforge would quiet down while Frostforge awakened, drinking away the remaining heat and flooding the same area with controlled cold.

‎By cycling the output on a timed pattern—minutes of rising heat, a brief neutral phase in the transition ring, then minutes of falling cold—the combined Vyuha turned the training ground into a continuous forge of temperature extremes.

‎Anyone standing inside would experience the Law of Heat and Cold exactly as Solar Clone intended: muscles and bones expanding under searing warmth, then contracting under biting chill, again and again, until their bodies and wills adapted to both without breaking.

‎He named this combined formation Heatfrost Vyuha.

It linked Flameforge and Frostforge into a single cycle, reading the user's physique and automatically fixing the upper and lower limits so the temperature always hovered at the edge of what they could endure—but never quite crossed it.

‎The next day, after working on the formation through most of the night, Solar Clone finally left the cultivation ground.

When he reached the training area, he found Kamal, Neelam, and Sanya already practising the Mortal Foundation Scripture on their own.

Their movements were still clumsy, but the panic and confusion from the first day were gone; they had begun to familiarise themselves with the routine.

‎Just as they were about to start the original Law of Heat and Cold training, Solar Clone raised a hand to stop them. "Wait," he said. "From today onward, you'll use my vyuha instead."

‎Kamal, Neelam, and Sanya exchanged curious looks. None of them had ever heard the word "Vyuha" before, but they could tell from Solar Clone's tone that it was something important.

Sacral Clone, who was supervising from the side, followed as Solar Clone led the family toward a cleared section of the cultivation ground.

‎Two circles waited there, etched into the stone—one glowing with a faint red warmth, the other shimmering with a soft blue chill. Runes and symbols wound around their edges like interlocking gears.

‎"Dad, step into this one first," Solar Clone said, gesturing to the nearer circle.

‎Once Kamal moved into position, Solar Clone waved his hand, and a translucent dome of light rose up, sealing the circle off from the outside world. "This way you won't be distracted. Just focus on the sensations."

‎"Get ready," he added quietly.

‎Heatfrost Vyuha activated. The runes lit up one after another, drawing in elemental energy from the surroundings.

‎First came the controlled blaze—Flameforge's pattern flaring to life beneath Kamal's feet, wrapping him in climbing heat.

‎Just when it approached his limit, the glow shifted; the red light dimmed to blue, and a wave of piercing cold rushed through his body, forcing his flesh to contract and his blood to race in defence.

‎Outside, Solar Clone watched every reaction carefully. The Vyuha constantly adjusted, shaving down the peak whenever Kamal's body threatened to cross from tempering into damage.

‎After several full cycles, he snapped his fingers and let the light disperse.

‎Kamal staggered out, soaked in sweat yet shivering slightly, face pale but stable.

‎Solar Clone moved to his side at once, channelling Refreshing Breeze Healing to clear away hidden injuries while leaving the tempered foundation intact.

‎"Is this okay?" Solar Clone asked. He already trusted his design, but hearing it from his father mattered.

‎Kamal flexed his hands, testing his own body. "I don't even feel much difference," he said at last. "It's the same as when you did it yourself."

‎Solar Clone nodded in satisfaction. "Good. That's exactly what I wanted."

‎Next was Neelam. She stepped into the circle without hesitation. After her turn, she emerged with the same verdict: "It feels just like last time, Ankit."

‎Sanya went last, cheeks tense with nerves, but when the Vyuha released her, she also shook her head. "No problem," she said quietly. "I can handle it."

‎Solar Clone faced the three of them. "From now on, this is called Heatfrost Vyuha," he explained. "With it, you don't need us standing beside you every time. The formation can sense your current physique and automatically set the temperature within your safe range. As you grow stronger, it will raise the difficulty on its own."

‎Their eyes widened. Sacral Clone could almost see the thought forming in their minds: Magic that runs by itself?

‎Solar Clone continued. "Sacral Clone will show you how to start and stop them. You can continue training here."

‎He turned away, already planning the next step. "I'm going to make another Vyuha—for healing. That way, even if we're not here, you can restore yourselves properly after each session."
