KNOX POV
The sound of the gunshot was deafening, louder than the chaos raging outside.
My eyes widened as I tracked the bullets.
They moved with lethal precision, and I already knew where they would end up: deep inside their skulls.
They were going for the kill.
I managed to wrench free from the bastard holding me and darted forward, but before I could reach them, another gunshot echoed through the cell.
I froze in my tracks as a sharp sting bloomed at the back of my neck.
Did…did it get me?
Sharp sound echoed in my ears. My vision dimmed and Celina's voice heated inside my head as our eyes met.
"You'll die."
My heart raced. I lifted a hand to my neck.
Was this the doom she had foretold?
"Am I…"
The words cut off as she screeched, "Dante!"
Dante?
I spun around. Dante and Claudia stood where the door used to be. Claudia's hands were raised, hair floating around her as if there was wind in it.
