Owen roasted the water beetles over the pink flames until the outer shells were slightly scorched, turning a beautiful golden brown, then took them out to brush a thin, glossy layer of fat that dripped down the beetle's body, sprinkled some sparkling coarse salt, and placed them back to roast; a sizzling sound rang out full of excitement, the scent of roasted meat blending with fat and salt became increasingly fragrant, spreading throughout the entire forest.
The fat had stimulated the aroma of the water beetle meat, looking very attractive.
Under the effect of high temperature, the hard shell of the water beetle turned a glossy dark red, as if brushed with a layer of premium oil, occasionally emitting a pleasant sizzling sound as drops of rich fat dripped onto the red charcoal, rising into a fragrant smoke.
