"The rain outside seems to be getting heavier; the sound of rushing water is thunderous. If the water rises any further, it will surely flood into the cave entrance." Rowan looked out at the dense curtain of rain that resembled a wall of water, feeling not very optimistic about the weather situation.
Owen was squatting in the corner, feeling a bit sorry for himself as he drew circles on the ground, but he still spoke up to dispel Rowan's doubts:
"It won't flood. The terrain of the cave is much higher than the surrounding area, and this cliff is steep; it has never been flooded by water before."
"This rain is unusually heavy, and the water is rising very fast. Is the weather in your area always this harsh and unpredictable?" Rowan was still worried, looking at the white curtain of rain outside the cave entrance.
