He was very interested in challenging Owen; until now, the only strong opponents who could beat him were beastmen like Owen.
Unlike fighting with the Alphas he faced before, beastmen didn't have methodical training moves; it was all wild fighting styles derived from confronting wild beasts, making their strikes hard to guard against.
He could beat a few beastmen thanks to his blitzkrieg tactics, mainly by catching them off guard. If it were a prolonged battle, it wasn't certain he could win them all.
