Chapter 11 - EP.10(THE END)

The pillar of light in the sky did not dissipate despite the ancient stele shattering. Instead, it pulsed violently like a dying beast, spilling ominous red light across the ruins of the research facility.

"It's not over yet…" Jiang Zhengyi knelt on one knee, his Ascended Form armor covered in cracks, the Driver on his waist flashing erratically.

Yao Yu'en supported him, her Golden Tiger form dimmed to a faint glow. "The stele is gone, but this energy…"

"It's the Ancient Emperor's last madness." Ma Zhengjin—the Police Rider—stepped in front of them, his voice distorted by energy overload. "He's tied his own core to the remaining power of the stele—energy is reversing. It's going to trigger an annihilation blast!"

Where the Ancient Emperor had vanished, a pitch-black energy core hovered in midair—like a miniature black hole, devouring all surrounding light and heat. Space around it warped and cracked.

"Before that thing explodes, it must be sent into a lifeless dimensional rift!"

Gu Xing's lingering consciousness echoed weakly but urgently in Jiang Zhengyi's mind.

"Use… our final strength."

"Our?" Jiang Zhengyi froze.

"You, me… and every will that was ever connected to the stele's power."

Gu Xing's voice carried countless overlapping echoes—

the dying roar of the security guard who sacrificed himself,

the distant cries of Ma Zhengjin's sister,

his mother's final smile before turning into a key,

and the trembling breaths of countless strangers consumed by the stele.

Jiang Zhengyi rose. Beneath his wounded armor, his eyes were clearer than ever.

He looked at Yao Yu'en, then at Ma Zhengjin.

"Zhengjin—evacuate anyone who can still move. As far as possible."

"Yu'en," he paused, "buy me ten seconds."

Yao Yu'en met his gaze deeply. No hesitation.

The Golden Tiger Sword ignited once more.

"Ten seconds. I'll make them count."

She and Ma Zhengjin charged toward the last swarm of shadow creatures emerging from the vortex, using their bodies as the frontline shield.

Jiang Zhengyi walked alone toward the black hole core.

With every step, the Driver at his waist grew hotter—resonating with the core.

He removed it and held the ancient key—the very first key he used to transform.

"Gu Xing… everyone… lend me your strength."

"Not for revenge.

Not to be a hero.

But simply… to end what should be ended."

He inserted the ancient key into the Driver one last time—

but did not call for transformation.

Driver voice:

FINAL MISSION – GUARDIAN'S WILL

A brilliant white stream of light surged from the Driver—not as an attack, but as a gentle embrace.

Within the light, he glimpsed Gu Xing smiling softly,

his mother waving in farewell,

countless souls joining the glow—

souls bound for a thousand years, finally free.

Jiang Zhengyi gathered that luminous will into a giant hand of pure light,

and gently closed it around the raging black hole core.

"Good night… Ancient Emperor.

And… thank you."

The light-hand closed.

There was no explosion.

No thunderous blast.

Only a soft pop—like a bubble bursting.

The black core and the light hand dissolved into drifting stardust.

The twisted sky healed.

Sunlight pierced the clouds, spilling onto the ruins.

Three months later, Malaysia.

Along a coastal highway, Jiang Zhengyi rode a brand-new motorcycle—bought on loan.

Yao Yu'en sat behind him.

She had returned to school, yet somehow always "coincidentally" appeared near the motorcycle shop where he worked part-time.

Ma Zhengjin had been promoted to oversee the newly formed Post-Anomaly Management Division.

A framed photo of him and his late brother sat proudly on his desk.

The world seemed peaceful again.

The ancient stele, the riders, the monsters—

all fading into urban legends and half-believed internet rumors.

The Driver and ancient keys had lost their glow, now no different from model toys.

At dusk, after dropping Yu'en home, Jiang Zhengyi rode alone to a seaside cliff.

He took out the now-dormant Driver and stared quietly at it.

"Still wondering if it'll shine again?"

A familiar voice came from behind.

Zheng Shiguang leaned against his chrono-motorcycle, tossing an apple casually.

"It just feels like… a very long dream."

Jiang Zhengyi smiled. "You here to say goodbye?"

"Observation period is over. This timeline has stabilized."

Zheng Shiguang bit into the apple.

"You did well, Jiang Zhengyi. You found something more important than the power of a Rider."

"What's that?"

"Your own name."

Zheng Shiguang winked and mounted his bike.

"Remember—power sleeps, but a guardian's heart never does. When the world needs you again… you'll know."

The engine roared, kicking up ripples of distorted spacetime.

"Oh, right—"

Zheng Shiguang tossed something back.

Jiang Zhengyi caught it.

A simple silver keychain—shaped exactly like his first ancient key.

Zheng Shiguang and the bike vanished into the ripples, as if they had never been there.

Jiang Zhengyi closed his hand around the keychain, looking toward the sun sinking into the horizon.

He was no longer the confused youth who skipped class.

No longer a hero dependent on a device.

He was Jiang Zhengyi—

a man who had seen darkness,

and chose to walk toward the light.

He turned, started his motorcycle, and rode into the deepening dusk—toward home.

(Credits roll.)(Black screen for a moment.)

[Screen fades in]

A completely unfamiliar city.

Neon lights.

Rain falling in streaks.

In a dim back-alley beside a trash bin,

a young man in a tattered coat, hair covering half his face,

was cornered by several street thugs.

"Kid, hand it over!"

The young man said nothing, clutching a faintly glowing blue object to his chest.

The thugs closed in with feral grins.

Just as one reached for him—

The blue glow flared violently.

A cold mechanical voice spoke—

in a language never heard on Earth,

yet its meaning struck directly into the mind:

[SYSTEM VERIFICATION—]

[SUITABLE HOST CONFIRMED—]

[STARDUST DRIVER: FORCED EQUIP.]

Blinding blue starlight erupted, swallowing the alley.

Within the brilliance,

a new armor took shape—

sleek lines, deep-night metal adorned with glittering star-dust markings.

The visor shone with a core-blue radiance like a newborn star.

A shockwave blasted the thugs away.

As the light receded,

the newborn Rider stood in the rain.

Droplets burst into tiny sparks upon touching the armor.

Slowly, he lifted his head toward the stormy sky—

as if seeing straight through the clouds, into the infinite cosmos.

A low, rough, but resolute voice came from beneath the helmet:

"My battlefield… isn't here."

The blue starlight pulsed steadily.
