Chapter 6 - chapter 5

First day of going to UA

--

As I got ready to go to school in my UA uniform, passersby kept glancing at me in amazement because, in their minds, getting into UA was a huge achievement in itself. When I arrived at classroom 1-A, I saw Izuku standing in front of the door, watching Eda scold Bakugo for putting his feet on the desk. Bakugo replied in his usual manner, "Who are you anyway?"

Eda paused for a few seconds before replying, "Sorry, I haven't introduced myself. My name is Tenya Eda from Soumei Junior High."

Bakugo smirked and said, "So you're some damn elite? It'll be fun crushing you. Are you sure you want to be a hero?"

Eda was shocked by Bakugo's words, and for a moment, the two fell silent. Then the classroom door opened, and Izuku, Uraraka, and I stood there. Eda turned to greet us and tried to introduce himself again.

I interrupted, "I heard you talking to Bakugo, so there's no need to introduce yourself again. Let me introduce myself instead. I am Lucifer Tsukuyomi from Aldera Junior High."

As I finished introducing myself, a voice came from behind, "If you're here to make friends, then leave now. This is a place where we train to be heroes."

It was Aizawa Shōta, emerging from his yellow sleeping bag. The classroom fell silent. "It took you 8 seconds to quiet down? That's too long," Aizawa said, then threw a UA PE uniform at me.

"Get changed into this and meet me on the field. And be quick about it," he ordered.

I nodded, and he added, "By the way, I'm your homeroom teacher."

We headed to change into the PE uniforms as instructed.

At the field

--

We are going to have a Quirk Apprehension Test, Aizawa said.

"Sir, what about the entrance ceremony and the orientation?" Uraraka asked.

"If you're going to be a hero, then you don't have time for such meaningless events or matters," Aizawa replied.

UA prided itself on unrestricted teaching methods, and the teachers can train and teach their students as they please.

"You kids have been doing this since middle school, right?" Aizawa said.

"But in those physical tests, you were not allowed to use your quirks, right?" I asked.

"That's the problem. The government wants to give everyone the illusion of being equal. That is highly irrational. And here, we are going to test you and your quirks to the limit."

"Bakugo, you came in second place in the entrance exam, right? And what was your softball throw score in middle school?" Aizawa asked.

"67 meters," Bakugo replied.

"Then throw this ball as far as possible, and this time use your quirk. As long as you stay inside the circle, you can do anything. Now, throw the ball."

Bakugo threw the ball with a loud explosion and shouted, "DDDDIIIIIEEE!"

I thought to myself, *That's not very heroic language to use.*

Then Aizawa turned to us and said, "This is the most rational way to build a foundation for heroes."

As he showed us the screen, we saw 705.2 meters. All the students looked amazed.

"It's going to be fun," someone said.

"Here we go," Mina said.

Now, he was going to say that the person who comes last will be expelled. I thought to myself, *Fun, you say? What about the person who comes last in all tests? Will they be expelled?*

Aizawa said with a creepy smile on his face, "Fun, you say? How about if the person who comes last in all the tests is expelled?"

As I looked around, I saw Izuku looking scared at the mere thought of being expelled. I chuckled to myself.

Aizawa continued, "This is the freedom given to us by the school—to train and teach our students."

"Welcome to Hero Course Class 1-A."

"The last place will be expelled."

"That's not fair," Uraraka said.

I sighed aloud as everyone turned toward me. I said to everyone, "Do you really think that natural disasters, big accidents, earthquakes, and villain attacks are going to be fair? That's a childish way of thinking. The world has always been unfair. It has been that way for a long time. All we can do is save and protect as many people as we can—that is what a hero does."

"Yes, Lucifer is correct. Here at UA, these next three years are going to be the hardest years of your life, with challenge after challenge coming at you. So, go beyond, plus ultra, and do your best! Now, let's start the test," Aizawa said.

**Test 1: 50-meter dash**

The first ones to go were Tenya Iida and Tsuyu Asui. Iida finished in 3.04 seconds and Asui in 5.58 seconds.

After that, Uraraka and Ojiro went. Ojiro got 5.49 seconds and Uraraka 7.15 seconds.

Next, Mina and Aoyama went, with Mina getting 5.50 seconds and Aoyama 5.51 seconds.

Then Bakugo and Izuku went, with Bakugo finishing in 4.13 seconds and Izuku in 7.02 seconds.

Finally, it was my turn. Yes, Mineta was in the class too. I found out that UA had decided to keep Class 1-A with 21 students—an uneven number. It was quite a surprise.

Mineta dashed and got 9.56 seconds.

Then it was my turn. I used a very small amount of solar energy stored in every cell in my body and released my power all at once. Boom! I was standing at the finish line. My score was declared: 2.15 seconds. My classmates looked at me in surprise and shock. Aizawa looked at me and thought to himself, *He is holding back. If the exam footage is to be believed, then his speed should be even higher—a true monster.*

**Test 2: Grip test**

I asked Aizawa, "Sensei, I don't have to pay if I break it, right?"

"Yes, you don't have to pay," Aizawa replied.

I used half of my power and broke the grip.

**Test 3: Repeated side-steps test**

I got first place. Man, Mineta's face was priceless when he saw someone beat him in his own field.

**Test 4: Standing long jump test**

I flew over to the other side.

**Test 5: Sit-up test**

I got first place.

**Test 6: Seated toe-touch test**

I got 18th place.

**Test 7: Distance run test**

Aizawa called the test early because only me, Iida, and Momo were still running.

**Test 8: Softball test**

After all the talk between Izuku and Aizawa, Izuku still used the same trick by destroying his finger.

Then it was my turn. I grabbed the ball. Aizawa said, "Use your full power this time," and nodded. "He wants to see your full power."

I pulled back my hand and threw the ball with full power. It caused a sonic boom. Aizawa showed us the screen—it read 2,050 meters.

With that, he showed the rankings:
